PostPartum hypothyroid. Please help

Hi,

I had a baby 6 months ago and a month ago was diagonised with hypothyroid with TSH levels 13.480, which according to the doctor makes me severly hypothyroid. Any medical advise would greatly help, as my husband and myself have to manage our small baby alone and we don't have close family nearby to assist.

My main symptoms include:
* constant pain in my throat, especially on left side.
* fluid has gathered in my ears. (according to an internal medicine doc, it is because of pollen allergy)
* tightening pain between throat and ears. More on left side.
* memory is not as strong as before
* slower in doing my daily chores.
* legs get numb more often.
* No caughing or nasal irritations.

I do not want to take snynthroid or any kind of harmone therapy. I was recommended Spongia Tosta by one homeopath. I am using 30c since a week and I don't see any improvement yet.

This is my first child and I had an excellent pregnancy and labor without any issues. I have been exclusively breastfeeding the baby since her birth. my blood preassure is also normal.

Hi Bee75 --

Here's some information on hypothyroidism, if you haven't already seen it. :-)

I would like to stress that no matter what remedies you choose to take, please keep your physician and/or endocrinologist well-informed about your choices, and your health and well-being. After all, you're the most important part of your health care team.

Take care, read all the information you can, and good health to you! :-)

Hi Orume,

Thank you for the information. I had read two of the articles before and the rest you listed are quite helful.

Yes I informed my doctor that I will be using homeopathy instead of Synthroid and am having periodic checkups also.

I want to know what is the right homeopathy medicine for my symptoms as well.

Thank you

spongia is a good remedy for thyroid. Give it more time to do its work - when is your next appointment with the homeopath?
