Third degree burn on hand

Hello,

My brother badly burnt his hand by spilling a boiling hot, greasy liquid on it. He's being treated by burn specialists at our local hospital who are keeping a layer of collodial silver cream ( Silver Sulfadiazine) on it, and a soft dressing. He took an antibiotic for one day in response to a fever. He's been prescribed Hydromorphone Hcl 2mgs for pain, but I'm wondering if there are any internal homeopathic medicines or herbs that may help him recover faster. Today is the fourth day with the injury, and his fever gone. His injuries only hurt when he moves or wiggles his hand. Any advice would be much appreciated. The picture posted below was taken after rinsing away most of the bloody goop, fluid and debris.

I'm very grateful to any who respond to my post. Thank you!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I couldn't upload the photo here due to ridiculously small Kb requirements.

Urtica urens, Cantharis, Causticum are the main three.

I have found Urt-u to be most useful, although there are over 60 remedies for burns in homoeopathy, so the symptoms still need to guide you to the right one.

You will need a remedy in 200c. You also need to only use one at time. It should be given as a split dose and may need to be repeated several times over a short period - in such a case I might give it once every half an hour until the pain subsides, or until it is clear it is not helping (3 doses is enough to know that). Also stop if the pain suddenly increases, as this means an aggravation and you should get relief after that.

Without knowing more, I would try Urt-u, Caust, then Canth in that order.

Dear Brisbanehomeopath,

Thanks for that advice. Is there a question I could answer to narrow it down?

I've already got Cantharsis and Causticum in 30c - are these of no use?

Thank you,
K

Dear Dr. Nawaz,

Thank you for including us in your prayers - this is much appreciated.

I hope your fast went well.

No use them. Use whatever you have. For 30c you would need to repeat it more often, and make sure you are able to succuss it in liquid form.

Hi, You are Welcome!

Fasting, 12 more days to go. Indeed, it is a blessing that is going very well. Thanks.

Good Prescription by Brisbanehomoeopath!

With more prayers.

Thank you very much, Drs David and Nawaz. I will prepare the wet dose. I'm so grateful for all I'm learning from you. You both are such a blessing!!

Hope your day is filled with light.

David, should I succuss the bottle more than twice to make the remedy stronger, since a 200c would have been optimal?

I wouldn't do that until you assess the first reaction. For a potency lower than you might need, repetition of the dose will make up the difference (to a point anyway).
