hey iam doing bsc in medical lab technology.in 10+2i had pysics chemistry and maths .i want to practice homeopathy professionaly plz help.what about the foreing distance learning courses.is it valid in india.ankitsamuel29 on 2011-08-20
This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You should put that question to the goverment body in India that is the controlling authority for the education and practice of homoeopathy.

My advice, however, would be to not do distance learning. You need to do clinic with face to face patients under the personal supervision of an experienced homoeopath. The true skill and strength of a homoeopath comes from their case-taking, and this is very hard to learn properly outside of face-to-face patient interaction.

Dear Ankit,
There is no courses offered in India under distance education concept for becoming a qualified practioner (Doc) in Hoemopathy. If at all it is there they are of no use(bogus). There are two main courses in Homoeopathy. Eligibility for both is 10+2 with science (PCB) subjects. SHMS is a 4-year course and the graduate degree course is of 5½ years duration which includes one year internship. Dissertation is a unique part of the internship. Admission to BHMS is based on merit. In several states there is a joint entrance examination along with MBBS & BD selection. The cut off percentage for admission are based on Physics, Chemistry, Biology average of class XII. Graduates of Homeopathy find employment in Government Medical Services, i.e. CGHS, State dispensaries, autonomous bodies, voluntary organizations or private practice and teaching. Enterance exam for the said corses are held in first Quater of the year (which i suppose you missed it).
Homeopathy courses are available in a large number of colleges. Today it is gaining popularity all over the world. In our country too people prefer treatment of chronic ailments and skin disorders by Homeopathy.
