Dear Ladoo,
'is there any rule in homeopathy that homeopathy medicine should given before meal or after meal or we will have to see the condition of patient??'

>>It all depends upon the symptoms that patients shows during the treatment.

which is the best repertery for selection of remedy?

>> Your own experience will be involved in getting a remedy.

'befor using repertey should i have leant somthing special about repertey or i can easily understand?'

>> Having expertised in tackling and understanding the patients symptoms, you get this trick. Keep exploring and revaluateing your own cases, this is how you can understand.

It makes no difference to the effect of a remedy if it is given before or after meals. There is no physical substance in the remedy, so it does not interact with food in the stomach. It interacts with the mouth immediately the dose is taken.

Study of repertory takes years to master. Are you asking what repertory you can use for first aid? Standard homoeopathic remedies are quite complex, and the language in them can be tricky. Often you need to understand language which can be quite old fashioned, not to mention the many medical terms contained in them. The modern repertories are easier to read than the old ones - I use Synthesis myself.

When using a repertory, you need to understand many things, most of which need to be taught to you. This is why homoeopathy is a medical or science degree in most countries. When I was taught repertory it was divided up into 6 semesters of study. There are many repertories, and they are not all structured the same way.

You need to be able to select the correct symptoms and give them the proper priority. This in itself is difficult to master.

Then you need to translate them across to rubrics, which often requires a high level of familiarity with the repertory you are using, so you know where to look. Many rubrics have similar meanings, but have fine differences which makes the choice of one over another quite important.

Once you have your rubrics, you need to know your materia medica quite well too so that you can browse through all the remedies that appear and make a selection. If you do not know the remedies that well, you will need several materia medicas so that you can study them.

This is really just the beginning of how complex homoeopathic prescribing is. There is miasmatic prescribing, complementary remedies, the use of isopathic remedies - it not only takes years to study it all, but then years to practice and become comfortable with it.
