Nephew is a year old, has no teeth

Hi,

my nephew turned a year old on March 30th and he does not have any teeth whatsoever. Should my brother be concerend and take him somewhere to have it checked out?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Normally, the first teeth start appearing in 6 - 12 months. Your nephew is later than normal, but not yet a cause of concern. You'll know when he's about to teeth because in the three months or so prior to teething he'll start drooling, chewing and being generally upset.

Some diseases can influence the age of teething, but these are rare. Don't worry.
