Please help - to recover from multifocus Osteomyelitis

My daughter (now 10) had one incident of Osteomyelitis (Garre Osteomyelitis) in Jaw bone at the age of 5. Her right side jaw bone was swollen. She was put on Antibiotics course (penicillin) for 9 months. She was relieved from pain in couple of weeks. Her jaw swelling improved over years, although it never went to normal stage.
She complained of hip pain in May 2011 with limping. No other symptoms (like fewer) was observed. Various tests and consultation with doctors led to identification it as CRMO (chronic recurrent multifocus Osteomyelitis). The inflammation was observed at one of the Hip and Rib in the bone scan. Both are observed on the left side of skelton.
As immediate remedy, pain killer and inflammation medicine was given to reduce inflammation. Additionally, physical activities were minimized. She didn't have trauma and she is not a big athletic person any way.
There are few options available in medical science, but none of them has proven long term track and also have side effects. I came across couple of articles with some homeopathic treatments for Osteomyelitis but none for CRMO.
I am of the opinion to use homeopathy with medical tests to measure the progress.
Are there medicines available in homeopathy for her case?

Kadwa - Thanks for reply.

Should we give calc phos 6x with any of the medicines listed in the thread ?

We will start with calc phos 6x.

While coming back after 7 days please come with these details.

1.Whether she prefers warm surroundings ie whether she likes to be covered or she prefers cold surroundings and open air.

2.Whether she has a mild disposition or an irritable disposition. How is her attitude towards her friends and relatives?

3.What physical problems, if any does she have.

4.At what time she feels better and at what time does she feel worse like in the morning, evening, late night etc.

5.What do you think is the causative factor for starting her problems.

6.How is her thirst for cold drinks, hot drinks and water?

7.How is the bowel movement? Normal, constipated or loose.

8.Whether the child prefers to move around or prefers to keep still.

Please write an essay on her so that the reader can understand how she reacts to her environment, how is her performance at school, her behavior at home etc.

Sorry, I got delayed in posting the answers to Q&A.
Here they are
Q1. Whether she prefers warm surroundings ie whether she likes to be covered or she prefers cold surroundings and open air
Ans: She likes to use blanket and usually like to sleep covering herself with sheet.
Q2.Whether she has a mild disposition or an irritable disposition. How is her attitude towards her friends and relatives?
Ans: There is no visible disposition by naked eye. It is irritable only some time. She is reserve from beginning and her attitude has not changed towards friends except when she is in a pain. When she is in a pain, then she prefers to rest on couch and do more reading/watching TV. She is petite, and stands in 25% percentile (according to weight chart)
3.What physical problems, if any does she have.
Ans: Her hip pain started in May’11. First few days, she was in pain most of the times. She took pain killers and lot of rest. After few weeks, Her pain improved and she got hip pain only on hip-related exercises like bike riding, running etc. On Aug 25th, she had a bone scan and an abnormality was observed in bones – left Hip and left rib (backside). From last few days, she is reporting a pain in back rib when she does monkey bar or stretching exercise. Relaxation (and avoiding bar exercise) improves rib pain.
4.At what time she feels better and at what time does she feel worse like in the morning, evening, late night etc.
Ans: There is no time pattern for pain.
5.What do you think is the causative factor for starting her problems.
Ans: Unfortunately, we have no clue on this.

6.How is her thirst for cold drinks, hot drinks and water?
Ans: She is not very thirsty on hot days either. She likes to have cold or warm drink according to weather.
7.How is the bowel movement? Normal, constipated or loose.
Ans: She gets constipated often and spends lot of time in restroom.
8.Whether the child prefers to move around or prefers to keep still.
Ans: When she is in pain, she prefers to lay down and pulls her self from aggressive exercise

Besides the Q&A, She completed the Calc Phos course for a week. We haven't observed any difference in her body appearance but are hopeful.

I will wait for review and the next step.
Thanks a lot for guidance.

Please give her 2 pills of Symphytum 30 in the morning and 2 pellets of silicea 6x in the evening for 15 days and report back.

Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

We have finished the course of medicines, but we have no way to measure the improvement due to nature of it - going away and reoccurrence of it.

Does CRMO (chronic recurrent multifocus Osteomyelitis) has any remission time ?

Her hip pain incident was way back in May and after having few pain killers, she was relived.

Her left rib pain incident was in beginning of Sep at most for a week and it was over in a week by avoiding high athletic activity.

Bone scan (in Aug end) did show abnormality in her left hip and left rib.

1. Both the incidents were over prior to starting the homepathic medicine.
2. I do see little improvement in her energy level after homepathic medicine course.
3. Allopathic doctors are planning to do additional X-ray and are weighing for biopsy to confirm, but it is still not planned.

So, question is - She is not complaining about pain and there are no visible symptoms,
How do we measure the improvement ?

Also, Could you please suggest the next course of action from homeopathic treatment ?

Thanks a lot !!!

Please don't give her any remedy and report back whenever anything significant happens.

Kadwa

We stopped the medicine as per your directions.

From last two days, She has re-reported a mild pain in the left rib. We are confused with its re-occurrence.

What should be our next course of actions ? Please advise.

Thanks

She has completed the course of medicines. No complaints of pain.

Would you pl. advise the next course of action?

Will it be possible to lay down the plan ?

We truly thanks for standing with us in our bad time and providing the quick support.

Thanks

If one takes a remedy without having any symptoms and develops fresh symptoms, it becomes difficult to understand whether symptoms are due to the remedy or the disease.
In my opinion if you repeat symphytum and silicea as above whenever she has pain these remedies may lead to cure.
This is a patient driven forum so people who seek advice enrich this forum rather than people like me who give advice.

My 11 years old daughter has same diseases CRMO. She has bone pain on her ankle, bottom of feet, and arm.
We used Naproxen daily for 6 months, but she only takes it only as needed now. I've been using Arnica Arthritis tablets and Arnica gel on her lesions. It helps her pain, but she continues to have pain on and off.
Please help. Thank you.

I followed dr. Kadwa's suggestion to saragugulani, I gave my daughter Symphytum and Silicia for 15 days and now givie her Silicia every other day. She is doing well, no bone pain. But she was having a stomachache last night. She sometimes get stomach pain, and I worry she might developing Crohn's diseases as some kids with CRMO has it. She discribe the pain as sharp pain. Is there any remedies I can give her?
Thank you very much.
