joint deterioration! homeopathy overdose!

Years back I encountered an internet friend that was into homeopathy. I was interested because I suffered from depression. She recommended a few remedies and things were going good over the next few months. I also did yoga on a regular basisand keeping fit to battle depression from the exercise angle. I was getting pretty flexible too.

After seeing my progress so far she recommended that I take Lycopodium. I took a pill of lycopodium and noticed that it gave me a mood lift. I said 'hey, if one works, then a few more coudn't hurt!' Then I took at least 4 of those little pills on a couple different occasions. This is where things went awry and it was my fault.

Over the next couple weeks I noticed that it was getting difficult for me to do yoga anymore. It was painful to do stretched, muscles were tight, back stiff. Over a few months my joints started to crackle and pop, though it was painless it was annoying. I told my internet friend and she said 'How many did you take?!' I was embarassed and said nothing and wasn't completely sold on homeopathy and looked to other things like diet and whatever as a possible culprit.

Fast foward a couple years. Joints cracking, especially neck. Stiffness and cracking in spine. Its like my synovial fluid is drying up, and my cartilage is deteriorating! I am in my early thirties and I can barely move, let alone yoga. After eliminating other possibilities, the only thing I can think is that Lycopodium and a bad course of homeopathy messed me up on some level. Is there anything I can take to counteract this? HELP! I'm turning to dust!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You don't counteract it. The lycopodium (and any of our remedies) only works for a few days or weeks. Any ongoing rections are your own body now. The only way to treat it is for the case to be taken properly, and a medicine prescribed on the basis of all symptoms currently showing.

Yes and in a matter of weeks in managed to cause a systemic deterioration of my joints, connective tissues and synovial fluid that continues to this day.

I never had this kind of condition before and was very physically healthy before homeopathy. Even if it has a short duration, damage has apparently been done and continues. Now I can barely shuffle around the house.

Lycopodium matches closely to these symptoms and if you take too much of any homeopathy it gives you the very symptomology it treats - permanently in fact. I really regret ever touching the stuff.

Homoeopathic medicines cannot create disease out of nothing. They can however stir into life diseases that are lying dormant in your genetics, in your cells. This is why we constantly tell people to not self-prescribe, to only take our medicines under supervision of someone who is trained and experienced.

The true simillimum, the remedy that is the perfect match for your state, will not do what you have described. You took a remedy that either suppressed symptoms or was in no way suitable for you - a wrong remedy. Homoeopathy is a philosophy, not a brand. When the medicines are used according to the philosophy, you don't get this kind of thing happening. When you use them another way they are not homoeopathy.

It can be reversed though, by proper homoeopathic treatment. The longer you leave it the worse things will get for you. No point in just being angry, do something positive and get it fixed. Homoeopathy has great power to cure some of the most difficult problems people have.
