Grandma's Concoction

We were going through a collection of grandma's various recipes and we came across this one:

'1 orange
1 lemon
1 grapefruit

Squeeze and strain juice into jar. Refrigerate. Cut rind into strips. Soak overnight in 1 quart boiling water. In the morning, strain liquid into fruit juice. Add 2 tablespoons Epsom salts and store in refrigerator. Take 1 wine glass every morning.'

We don't know what this concoction is for but it sounds like a homeopathic treatment. Can anyone shed light on what it is and what it's used for? Thanks.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
No that is nothing like homoeopathy. That is what is called an infusion, and is a traditional herbal medicine process.

Homoeopathy is not about how the medicine is prepared at any rate, it is about the principles used to prescribe it (single remedy, law of similars, minimum dose).

Use of those citrus fruits is usually considered part of a cleansing treatment.
