This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
That isn't Homoeopathy. That might possibily fit under the umbrella of Isopathy except for one main consideration.

Addiction is not caused by the substance the person is addicted to. It is caused by various historical, psychological, emotional and even spiritual influences in a person's life. Without addressing those, there is no cure for addiction. Just taking cocaine, even for a long time, doesn't make you an addict - the tendency was already there, just waiting to be brought to life by contact with almost any drug.

If such a thing were true, then everyone who drinks alcohol would be an alcoholic, and we know this is not the case.

Unfortunately there is no easy answer to this kind of problem. Homoeopathy can cure addiction, but only when done properly and by focussing on the reasons the person has become an addict, not by looking at the end result (which is the general principle for homoeopathic healing anyway no matter what the problem).

Just to add to my previous post, I have treated a lot of addicts in clinic over the last 20 years. And I have treated a number of people who needed those remedies we make from drugs like Cannabis or Cocaine.

No-one ever belonged to both groups.

Those people who needed the drug remedies, were too sensitive to the raw substance and would overreact to it, sometimes dangerously. In fact they generally had an aversion to it. They may have had other kinds of addictions though, possibly not a substance but a behaviour.

Those people who I saw cured of addiction never needed a single drug remedy - it was always something else.

Who knows? A homoeopath needs to take your case properly so I have no idea what they would see, or what you would show someone in person that you cover up here.

*correction* Something you don't WANT to do. You are quite capable of doing it. You tie your own hands, and leave the knot loose enough to get out.

Since your behaviour makes treatment through the internet impossible then your expectation is unreasonable. It also appears to justify not seeking help, which only serves your illness. Whatever is inside you whispers endlessly in your ear against getting help, and it can create the most reasonable (to you) arguments to keep you right where you will stay sick.

Hahnemann said that we can overcome our illness temporarily with an act of will. Show strength here, show courage. Prove that the human being who is ill can still affect the course of his disease. Once you put yourself in the hands of a qualified and compassionate homoeopath then it will become easier. You just need to get there.

Oppose it. Stand against it. Make that effort. Defy the thing that twists and distorts your soul. Its power is not absolute, not yet. Not unless you are submitting to it, letting it have full control of your life.

This part-life you are living...are you really willing to live this way forever? Why not seek more, become the person who exists right now only as a possibility?

Stop complaining and offering excuses here. Be more than this. You are capable - all you have to do is divert all this time and energy you spend talking about yourself here, to walking out that front door to find someone who can heal you.

No I am not going to let you cop out that easily, while my words continue to be heard by you.

You CHOOSE not to be helped. Things are what you have DECIDED they will be. You REJECT or UNDERMINE the help you are given. You haven't genuninely tried to get help you are RUNNING from it. You haven't even done any REAL homoeopathy just this poor substitute for it.

It is your choice, get help or not. Just stop blaming others for that choice. At least accept it - it is your doing, no-one else's.

There is a difference between reading about self-help and actually helping yourself.

What you seem not to understand, is that I have chosen not to abandon you, as I could have. But I am now giving you the only help I can - to push you to get proper treatment.

This needs to be moved off other people's threads. There is no need to hijack them for attention like this. You make enough of your own.

Dr Kempson
I agree to your analysis of addiction: it is the worst possible response to ones (mainly) emotional problems. So guiding the patient to better ways of responding to challenges of life is important. Building grit and motivation is important.
Is it possible to generalize here regarding remedies that might help in the cause?
What if I ask you the top 5 remedies to consider in helping build confidence, determination, motivation and helping find positive ways to react to life's problems and emotional issues?

It is not possible to generalize in homoeopathy at all. Our entire philosophy is built on the principle of individualization. No-one can simply cure a patient without understanding the unique and peculiar feelings, sensations, thoughts, and most importantly the state of the patient that causes their problems.

There are no short-cuts in homoeopathy for chronic disease.
