The ABC Homeopathy Forum

help my 6 yr. old son with odd/add/adha.

I am desperately seeking help for my child. Here is his history. Please help me!

• Poor focus and concentration. Very easily distracted, needs to be given one instruction at a time.
• Still wets the bed at night
• Unable to organise his thoughts and make himself understood, speech very confusing. We don’t understand what he’s saying at times. He gets very, very angry when we asks over and over to repeat.
• Very irrational.
• Not overly cuddly - at times would hug me but almost never hug his father.
• As soon as he wakes up he goes outside – He likes to ride his bike or just wander outside until it gets dark.
• He hates to bathe – always saying he’ll bathe later or next week.
• Hates to brush his teeth – he gives silly, silly excuses why he shouldn’t.
• Rarely sits and watch television
• Always argues about what he wants to wear – His appearance always weird.
• Socks his finger (thumb – on left hand) all the time… refuses to stop.
• Argues in his sleeps.
• Was diagnosed with eczema as a baby – few months old.
• Was an extremely quiet and peaceful baby… almost never cried.
• Very aware of sexual organs – always peeking at my breasts… wanting to see my vagina and buttocks if I’m changing my clothes… I hide to change my clothes.
• Sleeps on his sides more. Not his tummy.
• Never had any particular attachments to toys. Hates stuffed toy, like teddy bears. As a baby he threw them out the window. Toys mean nothing much to him.
• Emotionally immature when compared to his peers.
• he was hitting his parents at 4 years when corrected about something.
• Very irritable on mornings as he awakes… doesn’t want to come off the bed. Saying all the time he’s tired.
• Always complain the his left foot huts
• He started creeping at around 10 months.
• Began walking at 1 year and 4 months.
• Began teething at 1 year and 1 month old.
• Had an unusual baby speech even at 5 years old.
• Cannot construct a full sentence to speak.
• Still can’t use the toilet on his own. I have to clean him after he’s done. He refuses to learn to do it. He says he can’t do it and nothing I say can convince him.
• Never cried as a baby for vaccinations – was so sweet and well behave.
• Started showing ugly tantrums and bad behavior at 2 years old. I refused to go out with him because I was afraid he’d embarrass me.
• He likes dogs and cats. He also took big stone and killed 3 baby puppies. I don’t know why. He doesn’t even understand that he killed them.
• Hostile behavior
• Temper tantrums
• Rebellious and disregards rules set by us
• Infuriates people deliberately
• Violent, harsh and very disrespectful,,, told his father to shut up
• Always blaming others.
• Is pessimistic, angry, malicious and very revengeful. One day I corrected him for something and in return he threw my cell phone in the toilet bowl.
• Stubborn, rigid and demanding
• Impairment in social and academic functioning
• Never takes ‘no’ for an answer
• Drank in bottle until he was 5 and now he hates milk a lot.
• Loves sodas, coca-cola, pepsi and thing like those. I almost never give them to him.
• Sometimes drinks water.
• Terribly afraid of thunder and lightning… even the flash in my camera… he would get upset.
• Prefers vegetarian food…. LOVES SOYBEAN TOFU… Isn’t a fan of meats. Not so much chicken.
• Hates beans and peas. Loved ketchup as a toddler so much that I had to hide the bottle from him.
• Feels very chilly at times. Never complains about feeling warm.
• When he’s sick he sticks with me. Always want me there with him.
• He’s very very caring at times if I am not feeling well.
• Seems very hard for him to tell me he loves me. I tell him all the time, since baby.
• Not impressed with music, dancing etc.
• Generally eats well only if he likes something.
• He’s not cooperative at all. I have to beg him to do something.
• Hates doing schoolwork.
• Hates going to school. Gives silly, out of the world excuses why he should not go.
• He is obsessed with pencils, sharpeners and erasers. Always stealing somebody’s pencil and sharpener at school.
• Talks in his sleep.
• Has difficulty expressing himself with confidence.
• Is not brave at all.
• Loves to play but sometimes he upsets his friends with his behavior.
• CANNOT understand very, very simple mathematics at all.
• Gets so active after eating something sweet like cake.
• Cannot focus on school-work.
• Becomes so, so depressed when he gets his work wrong.
• I never used drugs, or even in pregnancyI became very very depessed at times in the pregnancy but never showed it, so the doctor thought I was so happy.
• I craved pepsi and coca-cola during pregnancy although I was not used to drinking it.
• Breast-fed until he was 7 ½ months old.
• After he turned 1 year he almost never ate food, he just wanted his bottle all the time.
• He started eating properly after he began going to school at 4 years.

I have given him SILCEA and IGNATIA. Not much results.
I am currently giving him OMEGA XL.

Do you want to know his name, age, weight, height etc?
Or do you require information about me, his mother?

This is a highly complex case, and will require a careful and detailed analysis.

These are the kinds of ADHD cases I see in clinic. I am happy to look over it and see if I can make a suggestion.

I suspect that the actual cure of this case will not be simple.

I will also post a list of questions that are more suited to a child's case. Can you go through them, and answer anything that you have not answered in your first post. I will go through the symptoms you have given already and will have some further questions to clarify some points made.

1. Describe in detail the main problem - appearance, colour, shape, symptoms, behaviour etc. What happens, when it happens etc.

2. Describe any pains or behaviours associated with the symptoms.

3. Describe anything that makes the problem worse ie. position, temperature, food etc.

4. Describe anything that makes the problem better ie. pain is better for cold bathing or at night in bed.

5. Go through each symptom or problem he/she has, doing the same thing (answering questions 1-4), even if the problem does not seem connected to any others.

6. When did each problem start? What happened around that same time?

7. What is his/her character like? What kinds of fears or anxieties does he/she have? What makes him/her irritable? Flesh out his/her personality.

8. What foods does he/she crave or hate? What drinks does he/she crave or hate? Is he/she sensitive to anything he/she eats or drinks?

9. How does the weather or season affect him/her?

10. How have all his/her milestones gone? Does he/she have any issue with speaking, learning, walking, climbing etc

11. How is he/she with socializing with others?

12. What is his/her bowel habit like? Any problems? Any odours, strange colours or stool shapes?

13. Where does he/she sweat? Does it have a smell or does it stain a particular colour?

14. History of illnesses in his/her life?

15. Has he/she reacted to any vaccines or medical drugs?

16. Problems with sleep? Position he/she sleeps in? Nightmares or any dreams he/she talks about?

17. How is he/she with animals?

18. How is he/she with adults or strangers?

19. What is the family history of illness and disease?

20. What was the pregnancy like? Any odd symptoms or feelings that disappeared once he/she was born?

His main problem is his inability to do his school work and his temper. He gets angry when corrected for anything, even if it's a correction with a nice smile.
He is tall, slim dark complexion of mixed descent.
His anger comes on usually morning time when he just awake. He would complain that he is tired and he can't do anything, like brushing his teeth or even bathing. I have to literally take him to the bathroom, put him in the shower and bathe him. He always complain about his right foot (shin area) hurts. He seems contented when I rub it. He hates bathing with cold water (normal pipe water). His eating habits are somewhat unusual. Sometimes he eats like a ca-nine and other times he just barely eat. He hates ground provisions, beans/peas and most of all hate anything that looks like milk. He never drinks any kinds of milk.
He has difficulty with minus and subtraction. Simple work at school he gets so wrong. When he gets his work incorrect he becomes very depressed to the point where he refuses to go to school. He says if he goes to school he will surely die. He gives all manner of unusual excuses why he should not go to school. He said if he goes to school he would get his work wrong. He attempts to do work at home but when faced with challenges he quickly becomes discouraged, angry and leaves the work. Even if I tell him it's ok, u did a great job, he still pack his books back into his bookbag.
He is terribly afraid of thunder and lightning. He is quiet, shy and would sit nicely by himself. Other times he just want to play with friends. Like if wwe go to the park, he would just go and play with strangers (kids). Correction makes him irritable. He hates being corrected. He loves french fries, and some normal home-cooked foods. there is no food in particular he craves but OMG he craves coca-cola and pepsi. When i was pregnant i also craved these two. He hates milk as i previously mentioned and i am not aware of anything he's sensitive to. He just prefer sodas more, but i almost never give it to him. other family members may give him but not in my household. i give him things like 100 cranberry juice, etc. he drinks all juices without complaining even if there is no added sugar. i always buy juices with no added sugars for him. We live in the tropics in the caribbean. it's either hot or raining. he sometimes complain of feeling cold. i have not noticed the change of weather affecting him.
Yes he has difficulty speaking clealy. Sometimes I don't understand a thing he's trying to say. His sentences are always mixed up and nothing seems to be clear at all. Yes he has some learning disabilities as i explained above.. no issues with walking, climbing i don't know... i have never seen him climbing.
he loves to play with friends but sometimes he upsets them. at places where there are only adults he would sit nicely but would not socialise.
he has about 1 bowel movement daily or sometimes may skip a day or so. No odours, no strange colour or stool shape.
he sweats around his neck. not his face just neck and chest area. his schoolshirt around the neck area is dark after he comes home from school.
as a baby he was diagnosed with eczema. when he got his shots as a baby, he never cried, he was the most well behaved baby at the time. he rarely got fevers etc, even when he began teething no main problems.
H talks about daily things he would say in his sleep. Like if i drop him to school he would usually say *must come back* and he say it also while he's asleep. He sleeps on everyside, back, belly, left - side, right-side. no nightmares he tells of. He loves dogs and cats. He kisses the dogs, pat them gently and very nice to them.
He is shy around strangers. doesn't talk much.
His dad has chronic diabetes, type 2 on medication. I have no major illness.my family has allergy, asthma, heart issues. I had been prescribe PULSATILLA, IGNATIA and some more things. I am moody and sometimes cry for no reasons. I also think I may have adult ADD/ADHD.
My pregnancy was normal. I was sad at times because i did not want to have him out of marriage but i could not get married. i felt sadness in my pregnancy and always stayed at home. i never showed it to my doctor and so he thought i was very happy... i was not. i was always crying and very sad. my son was born 6 weeks before the due date. he never went in incubator. at 3 months old he was still wearing the clothes o a premature baby. he was so small. weighed 5 pounds 3 ounces at birth,.

There is a tonne of information here. I am going to work through it today and see what comes up. I might still have a few more clarifying questions to ask.
