This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I made a thread for my son's case, it's here:

Also, I'm curious where you went to school? I have wanted to become a homeopath for a while, but after my experience with my last homeopath, I started changing my mind against it. But, I think the fire has been rekindled. I like the way you prescribe and am intrigued by the way you administer remedies (not a dry dose), and am just curious where you went to school!

I studied at the Sydney College of Natural Medicine. It was a long time ago now, almost 20 years when I started. I think now they might be part of the Endeavour. College chain of natural therapy education centres here in Australia. Endeavour does do correspondence courses in homoeopathy but they don't teach this method I use.

You read some articles on this method here if you like. The actual study of it cannot happen until you have a proper grounding in the original concepts and methods of homoeopathy, so it is a long road to get to doing things this way.

Have you had a chance yet to take a look at my son's case?

Something I've noticed about my motivation (and lack thereof). I am tossed by every wind! If I have a burst of motivation to clean or get something done, and then something goes wrong (my son starts crying, I stub my toe, etc) then I have completely lost the motivation. I think I am a follower. I tend to acquire the personality traits of the people I spend the most time with. After my husband and I got married, I started struggling with motivation and I had a very hard time getting things done (my husband's personality). While living with my parents, I was a go-getter, always pursued my dreams and never doubted I could do it. That's my mom's personality. While living with my cousin, I became an alternative punk-type person, vegetarian, confrontational. Just like my cousin.

Even now, I find myself getting worse and worse with motivation, I've stopped following through with things (I NEVER used to do this!) and I find myself resenting my husband for being such a terrible example. I really do want someone to follow. I really do want a role model! I want someone to tell me how to do things and to lead by example. I hate that I am being such a terrible example to my son. I'm worried that one day he is going to call me out and show me what a lazy person I am now.

I am tossed by every wind!

I just wanted to share my thoughts. I am feeling very down today and my motivation was shot by a moment of wondering if my son was feeling okay. Now I am sitting on the couch, counting the minutes until his nap time.

My remedy should be here this week or next, I ordered from a place in the states (which is where I am) but they had to order from another place, also in the states. I am getting antsy!!

Also, my motion sickness seems to be getting worse. I can barely drive without feeling nauseated, and just thinking about reading while in the car makes me nauseated. I also get nauseated by the smell of newspapers, especially while in a car. Leaving the house in general makes me nauseated, the idea of riding in a car and leaving home makes the nausea worse. Also when I move my eyes too quickly.

Is there anything I can take homeopathically when this happens, or is that not a good idea at this point, since it might interfere with the remedy I will be taking in a week or so?

joannadarling last decade
Don't confuse the case by taking other remedies. You can use things like ginger tablets perhaps in the meantime.

Thank you for the reply. I will not take any remedy for the motion sickness. I should be getting the Python Regius in 2 days or so.

And please, I'd like to know if you are able to take my son's case. I could really use a full night of sleep. The link to it is below.

I will have a look. Because I spend so much time and care on a case, even getting through one or two in a day can use up my free time.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
I appreciate the time that you spend, it is amazing that a professional homeopath would spend his free time helping people! Especially after how much money I paid for my previous homeopath. You are in high demand, but it is hard not to be possessive! :)

I got the Python Regius in the mail today and took my dose about an hour ago. Not without being very nervous, though. I am afraid of aggravations! So it's either my nerves, or the remedy, but I am burping a ton, I feel nauseated and I feel like my bowels are moving. I will let you know how the next few days go.

The quicker the response the better, but the slower the improvement the better.

Here is hoping it helps.

I thought I would give a quick update.

I was nervous when I took the Python remedy, and shortly after I took it I started burping, feeling nauseated and my bowels felt like they were moving. It went away about an hour later. I had been having these episodes the few days prior, I was partially convinced that the Sulphur had given me an ulcer, because of the nausea whenever I got nervous. So I'm not sure if this was because of the remedy, or because I was nervous.

The only thing I've noticed since then is that yesterday and today I've lost more hair than usual in the mornings after my shower, while brushing my hair.

Today is day 4. I'll update in another few days.

joannadarling last decade
Shoot, forgot something in my update. Yesterday and this morning I felt weak and shaky after getting up. Yesterday was worse than this morning. Like I am starving and need to eat and my blood sugar is low.

The same thing happened a few days after I took my first dose of Psorinum, except it was MUCH worse after the Psorinum. This was piddly compared to that, but it was notable just the same.

joannadarling last decade
Sounds like an aggravation, so that is promising so far.

I don't know if this format is helpful for you, but I like keeping records, so here's a breakdown of the last few days.

Day 4 - Long 4 hour chunk of sleep last night (thanks to Nico). Also started having dreams.

Day 5 - Had dreams again last night, probably because of the good 4 hour chunk I got the night before last. Still losing more hair than usual.

Day 6 - Deep sleep last night with dreams! This morning I had numb toes on left foot while making breakfast. Same thing happened a few days ago, except it also involved a few fingers on my left hand. This used to happen to me many years ago. Had an exhaustion episode today after eating dinner (Normal symptom).

Day 7 - Tuesday - didn't sleep well last night despite Nico sleeping long and well. Red dots on stomach seem more prominent and abundant (a symptom I didn't mention, whoops!) Ate a lot at lunch and suffered the rest of the day with anxiety and stomach problems (Normal).

I've started getting a sore throat, is there anything I can do to prevent a cold from forming? My usual routine is to sip on a Ferr phos/Calc Phos concoction.

My body seems to want to have colds a lot, but I always cut them short with homeopathy. This happens maybe every other week or so.

joannadarling last decade
Don't mix remedies that is important. If the symptoms call for a new acute remedy then we can do that.

Using our medicines that way is suppressive. Give yourself a few years of suppressing cold symptoms and you can develop a worsening of your chronic state.

Homoeopathic philosophy has to be observed throughout treatment so try not to slip into those bad behaviours. We can address the problem directly if needed.

So far you have old symptoms returning, current symptoms aggravating, more dreaming going on. These are all positive indications for a well selected remedy.

It is also possible the throat symptoms are a return of old symptoms too. It is a specific point of weakness for the snake remedies, the throat.

I was just thinking this afternoon about the possibility that taking those cell salts every time I feel a cold coming could be a bad thing. I've been feeling today that my body wants to experience these things without being stopped, and I actually kind of feel like having a cold would be a good release, like having a good cry, letting all that snot come out, etc :)

But, the sore throat is going away, and it doesn't seem to be turning into anything (we'll see how I feel tomorrow... if I'm getting a cold, the sore throat will get worse overnight). And it certainly could be a return of an old symptom! I have dealt with sore throats in the past, not related to a cold.

Thanks for your response!

Day 8 - Started getting a sore throat during the night on the right side, continued throughout day. Nausea in the evening, unusual because it was random and wasn't related to food.

Day 9 - No dreams. Sore throat is gone. Two itchy red dots on inside of right wrist, old symptom returning. Desire to be pregnant and have another child, old symptom returning :) Noticed after brushing and flossing that my gums weren't bleeding, usually they are bright red and bleeding a lot after I brush.

Day 10 - No more dreams. I tend to dream when I get good sleep, and Nico has been preventing that. My body feels like it wants to do some deep sleeping though. I am having a harder time waking at night when I hear him cry through the baby monitor. It takes me a few minutes to realize what is happening. Constantly hungry today. Usually when I need to eat I don't feel it in my stomach, I feel it in the rest of my body and my mind (irritable, weak, sick), but today I feel it in my stomach, it feels like normal hunger. Also this morning I had a 'comatose' episode. I'm not sure I mentioned those in my normal symptoms. I feel dull, unwilling to communicate, can't think or focus, just want to sit. Normal symptom.

Day 11 - Saturday - Terrible sleep last night because of Nico. Feeling hunger again today. I think the hunger might be a symptom improving, I feel like I might be digesting things a bit more efficiently, well, at least they're moving through my stomach more quickly. A few more itchy red dots appeared on my right wrist. Nausea and exhaustion before bowel movement, normal symptom.

The hunger might be an old symptom returning. I'm finding that today the hunger and need for food is also making me very irritable and unable to think. This was typical a few years ago, before pregnancy.

We do have two problems here, one is yours, and one is external - your son.

It may be hard to see improvement with him the way he is, which makes him the priority. Once he settles down it will be easier to judge what is happening to you.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
That makes sense. I know I do have better days when I get good sleep at night. I am glad you have said this! I'm okay with just hanging out a while.

joannadarling last decade
Ok so this hunger is getting out of control. I know we just talked about focusing on my son first, but I would appreciate any insight you have.

It's not just hunger, it's 'I need to eat now or the acid will digest my stomach'. I have so much acid in my stomach it's starting to get painful. The food is digested quickly but I am suffering from heartburn, stomach pain, and headaches. Also, when my stomach is almost empty I get very nauseated, a different kind of nauseated than my normal.

These symptoms have been the case yesterday and today. The day before yesterday was when the hunger started, and on that day it was kind of pleasant, but it has gotten progressively worse!

joannadarling last decade
What has happened with these symptoms?

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Hunger is still there, seems to have settled down from the painful acid state, though. I'm still getting the empty stomach nausea, always in the evenings when I am tired. It's livable at this point, though.

joannadarling last decade
In college I used to get nauseated if I got overtired. It is that kind of nausea in the evenings.
