reaction to Staphysagria
Hi,I've been taking Staphysagraia for 6 weeks now (at a 5 CH dosage once a day) for balancing emotions, anger suppression and impulsive behaviour.
I'm reacting well, I'm less dependant on acupuncture treatments for relaxation, feel more confident and relaxed around people, and speak more openly about how I feel, less ashamed to show my true feelings. My voice has gotten deeper.
However, I tend to be more restless and fidgety, move around more and what's worse, sleep very little. I go to bed at the habitual time of 10pm but I find myself awake at 4 or 5 in the morning.
To deal with this, I stop the remedy for a couple of days, catch up on my sleep, and start taking it again.
Is this a normal reaction to Staph?
I'm also a tad bit more 'euphoric', have moments of intense positive emotions and even love (love of beauty, of humanity in general, or a specific person). I've always been highly emotional but this 'love' feeling has intensified since starting the remedy.
Any quality feedback would be gratefully welcome.

One should avoid taking the remedy continuously when one starts experiencing new symptoms due to the remedy. You may take Staphysagria 200 at a gap of 15 days on need instead of taking Staphysagria 5 regularly.

You may be simply palliating your symptoms, which creates an imbalance elsewhere in your health (the sleep). Euphoria is not a healthy sign, this is also an imbalance. I would agree with Kadwa, you should stop taking daily doses and instead take a single dose of a higher potency. Then you must wait and assess carefully what has happened.
Homoeopathy has guidelines for deciding if a remedy is good for your or not. Direction of Cure needs to be observed, the Hieararchy of Symptoms also needs to be examined to see where the changes are occuring.

Sleep has been markedly better these last couple of days, as has the euphoric sensation.
Nevertheless I'll check out the single dose option with my homeopath, it could be worth a try.
(Ten days ago, my girlfriend took a single dose of Phosphorous for general fatgue and is very happy with the results.)
