The ABC Homeopathy Forum

chronic BV suddenly acute

Hello,

I am a 24 year old female with bacterial vaginosis. I used to have yeast infections fairly often, but this is not yeast. For about three months I have had strong smelling discharge, and a lot of it, yellow-white, not clotted but fairly thin. When I used to have intercourse with my boyfriend and he ejaculated inside of me I would have terrible strong fish smell for a few days but it would go away. I am taking a birth control pill which I really do not wish to be on anymore because I worry this exacerbates the problem. Now I have had a flare up, from every once in a while an internal strong sharp itch and the usual discharge has moved to a huge discharge of yellow liquid, smelling fairly strong but not as much like fish, EXTREMELY itchy vulva, which burns badly since I had my period.

I have been douching with apple cider vinegar and oil of oregano when it got so bad that I couldn't even concentrate on my normal life. This gets rid of the symptoms for a little while, and then I insert a multi-probiotic for women with yogurt into my vagina. Then, after a day, the itching returns and probably the discharge although it is hard to tell what with yogurt residuals also present.

I have heard that Kreosotum or Calcium carb would be best suited to my situation and temperament but know the power of homeo meds and wanted to make sure this was correct and check dosage, know when to stop taking them etc. I have purchased both in tincture form at 30C (only available in tincture, but in 6c and 30c). Thank you for any advice! Let me know if you need more information about me.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Not giving advice on the homeopathic
medicines, sure someone will.

Just wanted to know if you are
aware that obgyn say this is the
most common vaginal infection
and they treat it with antibiotics-
and then tell you to go on the probiotics
after you finish antibiotics. It is
not the same treatment they do for yeast.

Yes, thanks Simone. I just thought that background info about previous infections might be helpful for the advice. In general, my flora do not seem to be healthy!

You may not be really getting rid
of anything- the yeast can be up
in the tract not bothering you but
there bc you did not take enough
probiotics or change diet and get
off starch and sugar?? Once that gets
out of whack, I feel no matter
what remedy ?? your diet has to
be ok. I know what you mean about
birth control pills, they disturbed
my system in a major way.

I think it is a good idea even if
you are not wanting antibiotics etc
that even if you think you are better
that you get checked and make
sure all of this is gone for real.

Your body uses up a lot of energy
dealing with fighting this-
especially the vaginal infection.Good luck whatever you choose.
