Stunted Growth, NEED Help to remedy

First off, I know this may seem unimportant to most compared to the other needs for help on here but I am very concerned about them and appreciate anyone willing to take the time to help.
I raise goats and have 5 kids that are between 6 months and 10 months of age, all but one (the youngest) are stunted in their growth, most due to not getting enough milk as one doe was too lean to feed all 3 babies and dried up within a month, another was doing well and mother was sold after 3 months but baby stopped growing after this, the other mom died when baby was a month old from complications of cryptosporidiosis which then allowed her to contract pnuemonia. I tried to continue feeding the babies milk but only the triplets were interested. The youngest of the bunch is bigger than the others and came from a strong mother, was a single birth and recieved milk the longest. The oldest is second largest in size though still small and has the shortest horns of all of them, she also contracted crypto and suffered due to this, sucking lice and worms causing anemia. It's been about 6 months since she's been 'well' but is still stunted and doesn't appear to be growing much, she loves attention, is quiet, playful with her peers and just overall a big love bug. My question is, what can I give them homeopathically to cure the stunted growth, I am not skilled enough to understand constitutional remedies for animals... since the stunted growth is caused by lack of milk, would a milk remedy help? I also read of calc. phos. to prevent it but we are already dealing with it so would that work? How on earth would I figure out a constitution for them?

Also, I wouldn't be too concerned to just wait it out longer but I'm pretty sure the youngest (whos the biggest) and the oldest are pregnant, my fear is losing the one who is oldest due to such small size come birthing time.

Thanks!

I don't know enough about goats to make a prognosis here. Is this particular one still able to grow? Do goats continue to grow normally after that age?

You can only cure stunted growth if the patient can still naturally grow. If they reach maturity without being given the right treatment, you will not see any change in their size. However, it can still improve their general health.

Finding a constitutional remedy for an animal is quite difficult. Our materia medica is very human-centric and translating it across to other species takes a lot of skill and experience with the particular animal type. It is possible, but much of it must be by simple observation not by questioning, and so 80% of our literature becomes useless.

Calc-phos is a remedy for malnutrition which affects growth. All the Calcarea remedies are. The basic lack of nutrients is a specific Mineral kingdom problem - the particular lack would lead you to specific remedies.

Simone's suggesting of contacting a homeo-vet is a great idea.

Thanks for the replies.. Goats don't stop growing till 2-3 years of age, but at this point she should certainly be bigger than she is, given that the youngest is larger and a friend has goats and they are much larger at this age, comparable to the size of the adults, mine is more like between 1/3 and 1/2 the size of momma.

I've done lots of reading since the post and read that Baryta Carb. is really great for dwarfism with recommendations of also giving silicia 12x and calc. fluor 12x. So I was gonna try this and see what results I got.

well I hope what you read also
tells you when to stop giving
what you are going to give them-bc
that is the hard part.
When can you tell it is working?
how long do you have to wait to see?
and if it is working how long do you
give it without side effects?
and which one is working and which
one is not if you have side effects?

In classical homeopathy only one remedy
is given at a time- so you know what is
happening. People who prescribe
more than one at a time - know
what they are doing and watch
when to eliminate one or more
or switch.

That is why I think you should ask
an experienced homeo vet.- beware
of what you don't know and don't
even know you don't know.

good luck.

You should see the state of Baryta carb if it is the remedy - they remain babies. It is the kind of underdevelopment where the patient does not learn to do anything for themselves, they do not grow up at all but remain helpless and dependent. They are slow, dim-witted, unable to understand or learn things. They are extraordinarly timid and will hide behind their carer, terrifed of anything they do not recognize. They need to be surrounded by what is familar, and anything new or strange causes them to hide. They are dwarfs in more than stature.

There are around 70 remedies in our materia medica listed for Dwarfishness. Baryta carb is one but it is specifically for the kind of state I mentioned above.

Other remedies well known for it are Syphilinum, Medhorrhinum, all the other Baryta salts, Calc, Calc-phos, Carcinosin, Lapis alba, Sulphur and Tuberculinum.

It is better not to mix remedies. Give only one at a time so you can measure the response appropriately. If she aggravates or gets side effects, you won't know which one is doing it. You also won't know which one is working, and continuing treatment becomes difficult then.
