Help - ear and throat pain!
Hi,I am not new to this forum but this is the first time that I am asking for help for me and not my children! Anyway, this is the first time as an adult that I have had painful blockage in my inner ear. I can feel the fluid in my ear and it is accompanied by a painful throat ache that travels depending on which side I lay down on in the bed. I started taking some Echinacea when I first got a cold, which is what I beleive started this episode. But then I also started taking Nux Vomica because my symptoms seemed to mimic. But now, I'm not so sure and would like some counsel.
The pain initially started on my right side and then traveled to the left. The earache causes pain directly in the ear and my hearing is clogged with popping occuring when I yawn, eat or talk sometimes. Initially the throat ache cause burning pain, much saliva and swallowing, feels like a lump in the area where glands are swollen and accompanied by spitting up mucous and phlegm from the throat. I am brown skinned, heavier than I should be, short-statured, busy when I should be resting, a worry-wart, very regimented and focused, detailed, avid reader and seeker of information, organized and sleep very little. If you need more information, please let me know.
Any help that may be offered is greatly appreciated as I am in pain. Thanks in advance.

Do you have any moles or warts.
Do you tan easily.
Did the problem start suddenly - if so Belladonna may help.
But on the information you give I would tend to look at
Mercury 6x.
One thing that can help is non homeopathic -- take a small plug of cotton wool soak it in glycerine and put in the ear last thing at night. It draws fluid.

I was afraid to use Belladonna because I am a nursing Mother, which I forgot to mention. I thought Belladonna might affect my milk supply. Yes, I have some moles and tan very easily. The problem happened as I woke up one day with a sore throat. I thought that maybe it was because I slept with the air conditioner on but realized that I had symptoms more like a cold.
I do have Mercurius 6c here and thought that I should try that yesterday, but wanted to double check with this forum before switching. Have Hep Sul also - which one would be better? Any other suggestions. Thanks.

Your constitutional signs point to a nosode , Does the baby have bluey whites to the eyes?.
But any way go for the mercury that you have.
try twice a day for 5/7 days -- if conditions improve stop the remedy and wait.
Do nothing further until [or if] conditions get worse.
Then try the Hep sul.
