3 year old croup/ laryngitis. Pls HELP

My son is 39 months and since 26 months he had been falling sick and quickly being diagnosed with laryngitis. He has had this 3 times since then till now. (just a note, he seems very well in fighting off infection with homeopathic remedies, when his friends are all suffering from cold or flu)

The recent one he had started 2 nights ago with a  high fever, and then he had that cough (croup) I have been giving him aconite 30 potency and switched with belladonna, since I was uncertain which one would work. When his croup started, I gave him a dose of aconite 200 which helped till morning, and his fever subsided, and so did the cough. However, last night his fever came back around 102/103 range and the croup seemed stronger.  I gave him aconite 30 since I was afraid to give hi a higher dose, but in the morning felt I should and gave him aconite 200. Now the croup has changed into laryngitis, and I was pressured I to taking him to dr, by family and also my own self doubt.  The dr right away gave him a shot of antibiotics and steroid, even though I told him I would avoid it, but he insisted saying my sons conditions bad and it can lead to hospitalization. He has prescribed steroids as a follow up treatment, and I do not want to use the. For many reasons. Please, can you recommend meds that can help my son, I want to do it naturally and want to stop this recurrent condition. Please help!

Desperate mother.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
There are some conditions where you MUST keep checking with your Doctor until
the danger is really OVER. I had a homeo MD and had one of my kids in his office
with similar cough, throat issues, he went thru several remedies in 15 minutes and
then told me I had to see pediatrician or ER bc there was a throat constriction going on.

The pediatrician had my child in a separate room where they watched him along
with me there and gave him the antibiotics and steroid till it took effect and there
was no danger. Sometimes you have to do this, so be sure that your child is not
in any severe problems and keep checking with your dr. till you know he is not.

I had no idea how serious the situation could get-and there was not time
to fool around with the remedies. So keep going to the doctor -along with
remedies.

This seems to be the worst place to ask for help, ESP when needed the most.

Yes, the moderator has stated that purpose of this FORUM is not
an Emergency Room or clinic. It is for people who want to share
about homeopathy and related health subjects.

If there were not a few dedicated people on here willing to treat people
VOLUNTARILY-the advice given etc would be terrible like asking your
neighbor for a medical prescription.

People need to have their own doctors and their own homeopaths if possible-
you can read the warning on the top of the forum-this is the internet-
posts on here are not by medical professionals.

People want help for free, disregard the above and keep calling everyone
DOCTOR whether they are or not and this perpetuates the ER clinic atmosphere
on here.

If this was such a worst place :), you wouldn't have got relief as found in the below link:

For your son, the information you have given is very less, still I would like you to try Phosphorus 200c one pill/drop three times a day for 2 days.

Agreed Simone. Seeing your child like that makes a mother more desperate, and guess i expected too much from this forum. I have yet to find a good homeopath here in Bahrain, hence me turning to this forum for help.

Meehru, thanks but just so you get a better picture, he only received the antibiotic and steroidal shot and his fever was gone and for that day he seemed good. The next day he started coughing every few minutes, and it sounded mucousy, and his nose was runny, but stuffy at the same time. He was very clingy and demanding. Today, he seems better but nose still running. I just gave him Kali Bich for his sinuses, b/c that's what it seems. Should I give him something else?

Maybe you can work with Maheeru
on his chronic throat thing so it
goes away for good.
Give his entire case on here???

Most of us have that do whatever it takes
mother instinct , without it survival
rates would take a big drop!!!

Best,
Simone

Please give him pulsatilla 200c one pill/drop two times daily for 3 days only. Do not give any other remedy during this duration. Report after 3 days.

yes it's unfortunate to have children take anti biotics and steroids. Acutes are not so hard, they can be treated easily using homeopathy when used reasonably right.

'and guess i expected too much from this forum.'

Complex problems that were abandoned by real life homeopaths and doctors have been solved on this board. The problem is many people who post here don't approach right people at the right time and hence they go round and round in circles without getting proper help.
