Life after Bartholins Gland removel

I had to post this after having had Bartholins gland removal surgery, to put at ease anyone's mind that has heard that this surgery can't be done without being scarred for life, or being in pain for the rest of your life.
I have been suffering with my gland getting abscessed about every 5 to 6 years for 20 years now.
I am now two and a half weeks after surgery, and getting better everyday. I will say though, it is a very rough recovery. That area is so sensitive, and you will be in pain for about a week and a half.
The most important thing is to educate yourself before surgery, and use your very trusted gynecologist. Ask a lot of questions, and most importantly, has your doctor done the surgery before. Have it done in the hospital. If you go to any doctor that says it can be done in office, leave immediately.
I am thinking I will be fully recovered and able to resume normal activity within about two more weeks (I am being VERY careful).
To anyone going through the nightmare of the Bartholins Gland cysts, I hope this helps a bit.
I am so glad I am finally rid of this nightmare!
