help- my dad's throat problems

Hi,

For the past 2-3 years my dad has been having a problem in his throat. First he would just feel something stuck there (kind of like I have right now). Doctor said it was acid reflux and prescribed antacids which he stopped after a month. He's been taking raw apple cider vinegar, raw honey, and nothing seems to help.

After a while he ended up taking antibiotics for a week for it. The pain went away, as well as the fatigue he was suffering from.

About 2 weeks ago, he has been suffering side gland pain and a type of chronic fatigue. He took antibiotics again for a week and all pain from the throat and body fatigue went away. Soon after he stopped taking antibiotics, the pain came back and is worse.

Now the problem has moved to his glands, as the side of his gland is in a a lot of pain, and it hurts to swallow he says. The pain has also moved up to his ear.

Any idea what is going on? I can't seem to figure out what it is or what is going on?

Thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
The throat complaint is being suppressed, and suppression causes the disease to infiltrate further into the body. Your father is destined for chronic problems at this rate. Orthodox doctors are blind to this. They will claim he has developed a new disease completely independent of his original one.

Any problem that is treated superficially like this will be suppressed deeper inwards. Suppression is serious - and it can be done with pharmaceutical drugs, herbal drugs or homoeopathic drugs.

This is one of the important things that homoeopathy teaches us. The underlying cause must be addressed. If it is not, the disease will keep reoccurring, or it will transform into more serious diseases. Over time, constant or frequent suppression can actually render that person unable to be cured with homoeopathy.

I am guessing you want to know

what to do about it?????

Answer- if he has not gone to an
Ear nose and throat specialist take him
to a very good one- research it and
patients comments, preferable a
one or two person ENT practice.
Get the right diagnosis and if you
don't like the treatment but have
the right diagnosis then go to the
woman MD I found for you who is
also homeopath, ND and knows
Chinese medicine ( one of those will
work on him.).

I don't know who he is seeing??
an Ear Nose and Throat specialist can Diagnose what is really happening.
It can be complex - and not what
you think- for instance a friend of
mine had acid reflux-and gland ache
but also stuffy nose- he had due to
a bad allergy season have mucous
irritating a part of the inner nose
which then got infected and let more
mucous run which kept the infection
going and the mucous caused the
acid reflux. Previous to going to
the ENT has was given antibiotics
and taking acid reflux medicine for over a year!!ENT had him
use saline solution on his nose
several times a day to keep it clear
so it would then stop irritating and
let the nose heal. Now he is fine.

Get him to the right doctor to see
the cause-and don't go to some big
group of ENT's bc where I am they
are kind of a nose surgery cabal.
I found a good ENT who had 20 years
of practice and very happy patients.

He's been seeing a local primary doctor. Yes, going to see a throat specialist isn't a bad idea.

I was thinking to take him straight to the homeopath doctor you recommended, but getting a proper diagnos from a throat doctor first seems like a good decision.

It is a good idea to know the 'facts'
of what you are dealing with and
go to someone who is very expert in
an area to get those facts.

then if you understand what is going on
and do not agree with the allopathic
treatment, you go to the other doctor
for the best alternative treatment she has.

I believe in covering all bases.

btw, what did they say the infection
was that they gave the antibiotics
for??

the very first time a couple of years ago it was 'acid reflux'.

About a year ago or something the side of his face ballooned up after eating pizza hut and he had a lot of pain on his side saliva gland. He often complained then his mouth felt very salty. The doctor told him it was Mumps and he again took antibiotics. I dont think it was mumps though...

This last time another doctor suggested it was just throat inflammation and prescribed antibiotics again for a week...which clearly did nothing.

Looks like it is actually a chronic reoccurring state for him, which the antibiotics is not solving. Orthodox medicine will not provide much of a solution for this, they are more or less helpless in the face of chronic disease. Best they can do is continue suppressing symptoms with medication or surgery.

Hi- very strange they would give
antibiotics for acid reflux.

I don't know if they are giving him a
blood test to check for an elevated
white count which means infection-
and then just giving him the antibiotics?

A. they don't give a blood test and just
do antibiotics. (bad)
B. they do a blood test and know their
is infection of some sort and know the
germ type? and give antibiotics
maybe it was a different germ type each time- you would have to ask.
C. they did not do B and don't know
where the infection is coming from or
they did do B and don't really know
where the infection is coming from.

Sometimes this can even be coming
from your teeth and take a long
time to show up and that has to be
handled with a extraction or root
canal or gum work.

Take him to the ENT and see if you
can find out where the infection is coming from. Any infection in the
teeth, gums, sinus, etc just drains
the body of energy and you run at
half speed. Two people in my life
had hidden teeth infection which took
6 months to show up- the other one
was the nose. All of them were drained
and had stomach issues from this and
very low energy.

So start with the ENT.
