Child Epilipsy 2

child with epilipsy, please help

Hi, My daughter is 30 months old. She started having epileptic seizures when she 4 months. There is no family history of epilepsy at all. She is tall and beautiful little girl with fair complex.

Few things which we noticed are summarized below,
(1) Seizures occur during sleep, once every 30 days or so, and lasts for 1 min.

(2) Attack starts during sleep, and most affected area is tong and face. Body gets stiff, arms and legs, attack remains for about a minutes, and after that she feels exhausted and lost.

(3)Most of the days, we noticed that she sweats a lot around head area, during sleep or before going to sleep.

(4)Most of the time, when she lies down to take a nap, on the back she raises her legs and crosses them and stiffens them, then she raise her hands and holds them together really tight and just gazes into thin air, She does not stop this unless we distract her or we unlock her hands or grip from the stiff position or she falls sleep.

(5) She has a severe developmental delay in almost all areas, she is 2 and half years old and only says few words like mama, baba. etc. She babbles a lot, she says long sentence and words, but they don't make any sense. She plays with her toys, she is very social, hugs and kisses even strangers.
She also shows occasional tantrum, and anger. She is sometimes very stubborn.

(6) She was on Keppra for 2 years, but we stooped it, because it was not helping with seizures, and we suspect that may be this medicine was causing her delays.

(7) Her EEG and MRI and all other reports are clear, neurologists could find a thing wrong with her.

I have heard a lot about homeopathic cure for epilepsy. Please help, May Allah Give you reward for this, thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
What exactly had happened just before the first seizure, when she was 4 months old? Had she been given any kind of medical treatment or had anything else happened recently to her?

There are actually over 60 homoeopathic remedies used to treat epileptic seizures that occur during sleep. In order to choose one of them more information would be needed about her.

1. Describe in detail the main problem if you haven't already - appearance, colour, shape, symptoms, behaviour etc. What happens, when it happens etc.

2. Describe any pains or behaviours associated with the symptoms.

3. Describe anything that makes the problem worse ie. position, temperature, food etc.

4. Describe anything that makes the problem better ie. pain is better for cold bathing or at night in bed.

5. Go through each symptom or problem he/she has, anything at all even if it is not related to the main problem, and do the same thing (answering questions 1-4), even if the problem does not seem connected to any others.

6. When did each problem start? What happened around that same time?

7. What is his/her character like? What kinds of fears or anxieties does he/she have? What makes him/her irritable? Flesh out his/her personality.

8. What foods does he/she crave or hate? What drinks does he/she crave or hate? Is he/she sensitive to anything he/she eats or drinks?

9. How does the weather or season affect him/her?

10. How have all his/her milestones gone? Does he/she have any issue with speaking, learning, walking, climbing etc

11. How is he/she with socializing with others?

12. What is his/her bowel habit like? Any problems? Any odours, strange colours or stool shapes?

13. Where does he/she sweat? Does it have a smell or does it stain a particular colour?

14. History of illnesses in his/her life?

15. Has he/she reacted to any vaccines or medical drugs?

16. Problems with sleep? Position he/she sleeps in? Nightmares or any dreams he/she talks about?

17. How is he/she with animals?

18. How is he/she with adults or strangers?

19. What is the family history of illness and disease?

20. What was the pregnancy like? Any odd symptoms or feelings that disappeared once he/she was born?

Thank you for your interest, and for replying. Here is the response to your inquiries.

She got her vaccinations,(Dtap, Polio, prevnar, Hep B), few days after vaccinations, she got her first attack. She was Keppra for 2 years, but she is not on any medicine.
I have addressed all questions,

1. Describe in detail the main problem if you haven't already - appearance, colour, shape, symptoms, behaviour etc. What happens, when it happens etc.

Seizures occur during sleep, once every 30 days, few days over or less, and lasts for 1 min every time. Attack starts during sleep, and most affected area is tongue and face. whole Body gets stiff for few seconds, arms and legs, attack remains for about a minutes, and after that she feels exhausted and lost.

2. Describe any pains or behaviours associated with the symptoms.
sometimes she screams, before the seizure, but there were situations, when it started without a scream. She does not talk, so we don't exactly know if she has other pains

3. Describe anything that makes the problem worse ie. position, temperature, food etc.
Nothing make is worse or less worse, not atleast to our knowledge

4. Describe anything that makes the problem better ie. pain is better for cold bathing or at night in bed.

Nothing that we know of,

5. Go through each symptom or problem he/she has, anything at all even if it is not related to the main problem, and do the same thing (answering questions 1-4), even if the problem does not seem connected to any others.

She was slow to achieve all her mile stones, she did everything few months late.

She still does not talk, only says few words. show goes to therapy, but no improvement.

6. When did each problem start? What happened around that same time?

seizures started when she was 4 months, they went from once a week to once a month, we stoped all vaccinations, nothing notable happened.

7. What is his/her character like? What kinds of fears or anxieties does he/she have? What makes him/her irritable? Flesh out his/her personality.

She is a friendly child, plays with her toys, but most of the times, she takes two toys and shake them.
She is afraid of noise, like vacuum cleaner etc.

8. What foods does he/she crave or hate? What drinks does he/she crave or hate? Is he/she sensitive to anything he/she eats or drinks?

She likes to ear rice, she loves pepsi. She will eat anything we give her.

9. How does the weather or season affect him/her?

no affect of weather is observed.

10. How have all his/her milestones gone? Does he/she have any issue with speaking, learning, walking, climbing etc
SHe was late in achieving all of her milestones, she did everything late. She is walking now, she can climb up the stairs by sitting.
She is having hard time speaking, and learning.

11. How is he/she with socializing with others?
She is very friendly, and warm towards others.

Most of the time, when she lies down to take a nap, on the back she raises her legs and crosses them and stiffens them, then she raise her hands and holds them together really tight and just gazes into thin air, She does not stop this unless we distract her or we unlock her hands or grip from the stiff position or she falls sleep.

Ok so we have a clear case of vaccine damage here. I will look for a constitutional remedy but it is possible that a remedy made from one of those vaccines might be necessary to reverse the damage.

However, a simple analysis of the case by symptoms actually brings up one of our best known medicines for vaccinosis, Silicea.

The symptoms that lead to this remedy are:

Ailments from vaccination
Convulsions during sleep
Convulsions with stiffening of the limbs
Perspiration on the head during sleep
Slow learning to talk
Slow learning to walk
Fear of noise

I would get hold of Silicea 30c, 200c, and 1M. We will start with 30c but it is likely that we will need to move up to higher potencies as treatment progresses.

I will post instructions for dosing. These are important.

INSTRUCTONS FOR SPLIT DOSING

Firstly, you need to create a separate dosing bottle. Get a bottle with a dropper, 15-30mls in size, and fill it with a mixture of water and alcohol (5 parts to 1 part). Dissolve 2 granules or 2 drops of the medicine you bought from the pharmacy into this mixture. Your doses will be made from this bottle.

Hit the bottle firmly against the palm of your hand, or another elastic surface like a book. It should be a firm hit not a tap. 2 hits is enough to begin with, and should not be increased unless it is clear that it is needed. The water in this bottle will 'remember' the number of times you have hit it, so that subsequent doses will be stronger (necessary to overcoming the resistance of your disease).

Place 1 drop into an amount of water - I may start with anything from 1/4-1 full cup (62ml-250ml) depending on the sensitivity of the patient. Stir thoroughly and take 1 teaspoon into the mouth. Throw the rest of the cup away. Wash this cup and spoon in hot water, not detergent, and keep them aside to use for further doses.

This is one dose. Repeat doses would be started from the 2 hits on the bottle.

Each step of this process can be adjusted to reduced aggravation or to increase the effect of the medicine. In order to be able to do this, it is important to measure each step (count the hits, the drops, measure the water etc).

I would like you to give her 1 drop in a 1/4 cup of water, stir and 2 teaspoons into her mouth.

You will make up 30c in the dosing bottle to begin with. Give her one dose every two days, for six days (so 3 doses in total).

You must stop if any of her symptoms appear to worsen. This is a homoeopathic aggravation and is a sign that the medicine is working.

Once you have done those 3 doses we can assess the initial reaction.

Thank you once again. I will order Silicea 30c, 200c and 1M.

Is it necessary to start with split dosing. Even though you have explained it very well, still the process is complicated, it might be easy to prepare split dosing for a experienced and trained homeopath, but I will sure mess up.

Can we please start with the regular dose. That will be easy for me to administer. We can start with low potency.

Please let me know,
Thank you so much.

Split dosing is both to safeguard your child from aggravation and to make each dose more effective. You can avoid doing it, but it may have an adverse effect on her treatment. Split dosing is the traditional method of dosing which Hahnemann developed after many years of clinical experience, and I find it is highly effective in getting the maximum result from our medicines.

It is not appropriate to go below 30c in this kind of case, and especially for children who do much better on the higher potencies. Low potencies will produce much more aggravation unless they are specifically required in a case. You would only use low potencies on a child if their vitality was extremely low, or there is substantial tissue changes. I suspect 30c will be too low but I am being cautious by starting there.

There is also no need at this stage for regular dosing. We are trying to cure her not manage the disease. Single doses are always my preference and I find them the most sucessful way to practice. In the beginning when I do not know how reactive she will be, I may do a series of doses to make sure we are not giving too little (with a suitable pause between each one to make sure she is not getting too much).
