9 yr old Otis media How much calc carbonica?
Ok 9 yr old, in uk we saw a homeopath for Otis media and colds etc. we started with tuberculenium and calc carbonica. He has had good results 6 yrs ago. Now 3 surgeries later p e tubes , aidenoids and tonsils removed, we are now looking at another 4 th surgery for p e tubes as he has retracted ear drums and loss of hearing. So... His symptoms match calc carbonica but not sure what dose. I was thinking 200c one am and then 1 pm then see how it goes?? I know it gets worse before better from previous visiting a homeopath!1: stabbing pain in right ear, runny nose, sneezing. Complains of feeling sick in stomach. Tired even though rested. Cries easily and wants lots of comfort when crying. Both ears full of fluid and retracted. Cough wet does not seem to relive congestion.
2;/3 started with retracted ears drums 6 wks ago , no infection just fluid medication not antibiotics to try and reduce the fluid and congestion.
4:worse in evening and morning
5: better in fresh air but not cold, after rested food and drink. Better in afternoon.
6: takes a while to get to sleep but once off sleeps heavily, wets bed and gets very hot and sweaty, also nightmares of various things.
7: sensitive to pain, emotional upset if feels people are being unkind to him.
8: high then low, needs to move!
9: wants bread and pasta to feel
Better, cold drinks and ice cubes
10: many recurring ear infections, colds. 3 sets of p e tubes tonsils removed aidenoids removed and then shaved down .
11/12 tuberculenium 1m worked wonders years ago. Calc carbonica again used years ago worked very very well. Antibiotics do not work well as he has had so many since he was a few months old.
13: Has gas , skin rashes come and go... Excema like rather than allergy like. Feels hot no fever , watery eyes, lips and surrounding area dry/ chapped. Thirsty cold drinks.

If homoeopathy worked wonders, why did you have to go for so many operations?
Seems to me it failed you miserably. That should never have happened if he had the right remedies.

We ended up doing the surgery to restore his hearing as he had 85 percent hearing loss. Also sleep was an issue due to the size of aidenoids and tonsils. I think if we had kept on with the homeopathy he would not have the issues he has today! Sometimes you have to make a decision and get a result for the best of the child. The original homeopathy given was to reduce the constant runny nose and stop the ear infections and Pain! Also my son has speech issues and all in all after much back and forwards we decided on the ops! Thanks for your feedback though much appreciated!

I think it is nice you think so much of homoeopathy, but in children it does not take long to cure those things. Adults are a very different matter.
There is great danger in all these operations. From the homoeopathic perspective, you are not addressing the underlying cause of his problems, so by removing the final stage (the physical results) the disease itself is still running unabated, and it will either try to recreate the symptoms, or will create new more serious ones now that the original expression of the disease has been blocked.
I am sure, even with all the suppression of his disease that has occurred, he is probably young enough to be given a good chance at a healthy adulthood, if he can just get good homoeopathic treatment. I would not rely on the prescriptions of the previous homoeopath. Even if they helped the symptoms at the time, they did not stop the progression of the disease. Tuberculinum is the nosode for the Tubercular miasm, Calc carb belongs to the Psoric miasm. They do not both address the same underlying disease process.
I can still try to give you some advice if you like, understanding always that face-to-face is always a better alternative.

Hi David, thanks for the comments, I completely agree with all your comments. When we first started with homeopathy peoples comments where that we must be mad and are bad patents etc! But we disagree with them. Ethan is actually a complex case so face to face is good. We had a homeopath here in the USA but they did not quite understand something's as English was not their first language. We do need to find a good homeopath as he no has what school call ADHD , we don't actually agree fully with that. He has sensory issues a lot are related to the problem with the ears! He is also very frustrated and gets upset easy and the list goes on, I had terrible pregnancy which would have affected him and after emergency c section I had a pulmonary embolism which mean at a few days old he had to be away from me for 24 hrs and moved to formula and then again away for another 24 hrs as I had to take radioactive chemicals .... Any way I could chew your ear for days... If you let me!!! I will see how the pulsitillia goes but there was another remedy that matched him more as a person than the pulsitillia. Pregnancy awfull sick from day one until he was born. Feeling of sickness not often sick. Had thoughts of suicide and planing car crashes. Felt it was horrible thing taking over my life. No medication kept all thought to my self.
Ethan born 7.10 oz march baby born emergency c section as he had arm above head and was then in distress. I rejected him after the birth not sure if down to the meds related to emergency c section. Out of hospital after 48 hrs. He struggled to breast feed. I suffered p e at 4 days after birth went back to hospital first night he was with dad on own and first set of formula food. He was in hospital with me 2 days then home with dad when I had radioactive meds injected for 24 hrs. After home time it was hard bonding with him. He was colicky and vomited much of his milk
Till we changed his bottles. Gain weigh good, good sleeper at early age. At 3 months ear infection. Failed hearing test for 3 years we where concerned they said he had a cold.... They said this for 3 years when we went private to prove hearing loss. Many ear infections and congestion, speech issues with gollotal sound. Runny nose yellow mucus very regular. Very loving child very tactile as hearing meant he had to touch and take to show you things. Walked at 9 months. Food preference was dairy based he would not try many other foods, at 3.6 yrs we sent to homeopath we had tuberculium for runny nose and then Cal Carb for something. We then had surgery as he had 85 percent loss of hearing. Still speech issues many frustrations when not able to explain self. Second son born he loves him much lots if care. School in uk ok he still struggled speech and hearing and frequent colds. Moved to new York July 2008. Lots of fun till school. Bullied very very sad, angry upset. Develops fear of docs after they pin him down to do vaccinations required by school district. Second op here went well, he got stressed at hospital and had a sedative which made him unable to stand, feeling of not being in control! Grade k school adamant ADHD we disagree as behavior not seen before moved to USA and introduction of different foods. Since the buying in k grade he has a victim feeling, even gets upset angry and sad and cries if he feels a 3 yr old child pushes him or feels some one is picking on his speech. He is very very victim feeling at the moment even when you are trying to correct his speech. Home work was hard getting a bit better unless you correct him. Reading g great. Math struggles with basic math facts. Issues with attention at school. Need to know how, where , when , why. Does not like change. When upset becomes clingy. At the moment struggles at school, often will react violent if constantly pushed. He Clem he's fists first and holds back and even if you let him react he still
Holds back and wil often just burst into tears. This often leads others to pick on him due to his crying! He will often say he wants to die its not fair everyone picks on him, why does it always happen to me. When he is really down he wants to go back to the uk. He is though a fun loving kid , he acts foolish to his own detriment and drives us mad. He wants to be loved and liked by everyone. He is smart loving caring. He a very just child and can't cope if something is unjust or appears unjust in his minds. When very upset he is better for being alone.

There are some good access points there for exploration of his problem. It actually looks a lot like the remedy China, but I would not like to commit to that choice without digging deeper.
Let's see how he goes on Pulsatilla first then we can proceed from there. If Dr. Showrav's advice proves good you may wish to stay with him.

At last I appreciate u this time and u have earned some respect from my side as u also respecting me here.
Thanks for whatever u r doing in this thread. I do believe that we may walk in different style on the same track of Homeopathy but together we make change a lot and may change the worlds mainstream treatment process.

Idea... I got from blood transfusion while went to donate blood for some patients of can-cer affected. There were 3 patients who were transferred my own blood to their body bcs of lac of blood cells count at their body. One of them is my aunt and the other two patients were from out side of my family.

Good evening Dr Showrav I hope I find you well,
Here is a current update for Ethan. He had 1 dose of Pulsatilla 200 for 3 days. The running of the nose is now minimal. The nasal passages are very swollen and he struggles to breathe through his nose. He is constantly blowing his nose to get some relief and when mucus comes out (after about 4/5 blows) it is now a yellowish color. he has had pain once or twice in the inner right ear. There is no discharge for the ears (as there never has been). His face is puffy especially around his eyes and his eyes are glassy. He is extremely tired and very weepy. Better for outdoors exposure. His face is flushed a red color and he feels warm but not feverish. He is not as thirsty and he is not eating as much as usual. My only concern for next 2 weeks is that he has exams all week and if he is not able to sleep due to the nasal inflammation and constant blowing of the nose he will fair badly with the testing. What advice can you give? many thanks in advance for your help.
