Flomax aka tamsulosin

Hi,53 yr old male.
i have had problem urinating (in public) for most of my life. the last few years it is hard to relax enuf to urinate anywhere. i have taken prostate supplements off and on for some time. this problem i have is best described as a psychological anziety disorder called paruresis or shy bladder. a trip to the urologist revealed the prostate 'wasnt too bad',he also did a cursory exam of the pelvic floor muscle and said it wasnt tight. he said it was probably the muscle surrounding the prostate and urethra which arent relaxing and he prescribed flomax to see if that helped. which it does. but i dont care for the side effects. years ago i was taking aconite for something and i noticed i could urinate easier.
i feel the trip to the urologist atleast narrowed down the problem, the strength of aconite was probably an x or c. long time ago i forget. would a stronger potency be advisable as this is a looonng term condition? any suggestions appreciated. what would be the best way to proceed w/ aconite for results?? thanks.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
1. yes, true, fear of father and father's dissaproval, teachers also.
2. yes, but not so much. to a certain extent it.
3.yes, i believe this to be true. i am determined to make something work even to the detrement of the rest of my life. i have high ideals and dont reach them. many would see me as a failure although i work very hard to succeed.
4. no, seldom do i much gas or pain in thighs/loins. the pain is in front inside at the urethra, feels just like the muscles dont want to relax so i can urinate. i dont strain because that wont help, all i can do is with alot of determination, relax the belly urinary area completely for several minutes and then perhaps i will go, the flomax has helped with that considereably, but as i said, i would rather not take it.
5. i am kind good person, i feel sorry for other people's problems, items are not ordered in my life, i love God.
6. health is good, no problems other than this,
no meds or operations.
blood pressure is barely high.
7. i drink coffee quite abit. drink quart of water daily.
stay away from junk food, meals i have eggs, salads, meat, potatos, stay away from gluten, processed foods. no changes summer/winter come to mind.
8. Asthma age 3-4. allergy shots took that away. no problem with ashtma since age five. nose runs outdoors in cool weather. other than that it is good.

I hope Lightfoot that if you do decide
to try Varun's prescription, which
I think is certainly worth a try----

I hope you put what it is-on the forum
and then continue posts to Varun on
the forum, so that everyone can benefit
and see how it works with Varun's
guidance..

So I must say Varun, can't you do some
people for free like the others on here?
Some do everything on here for free,
some have to do private when it
gets complicated, some if you email
will give you advice and refuse to
take ANY money if it comes from
the forum.

this is difficult. the nature of the forum here is to post for advice, not to be solicited. Varun is asking me to pay him first and then see if his combination works. and me to trust that it will work.if it doesnt work, then what. try a new combination. I have been plagued by this problem. i would be greatful to have it resolved, let me tell you.

It is against forum rules for someone to be soliciting business here in exchange for money. Most of the practitioners here, some of whom like myself are qualified professionals, give advice here for free.

Hi Varun, Here is what i would suggest for you to do in this situation. GOD gives us everything. Share what you know with us on the forum. if you can help, then truely that which you give will come back to you. Explain to people that if they feel they receive a cure from you, then please give an offering that they can afford. you will be surprised how many people will help you in return.
Thank You.

i happaned to be searching for remedy for 'gout in toes' reading the only thread with that subject heading, and by some miracle, there in the middle of the thread on gout, happened to be a remedy to take the place of flomax (tamsulosin)
here is the copy.

the post as follows was by 'Joe De Livera'
For some reason I am not getting the email alerts today and I checked your post down the page. If I do not reply please send me an email from my profile by clicking on my name.

Here is how Tamsulosin works by relaxing the muscles:

Tamsulosin (tam-SOO-loh-sin) is used to treat the signs and symptoms of benign enlargement of the prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH). Benign enlargement of the prostate is a problem that can occur in men as they get older. The prostate gland is located below the bladder. As the prostate gland enlarges, certain muscles in the gland may become tight and get in the way of the tube that drains urine from the bladder. This can cause problems in urinating, such as a need to urinate often, a weak stream when urinating, or a feeling of not being able to empty the bladder completely.

Tamsulosin helps relax the muscles in the prostate and the opening of the bladder. This may help increase the flow of urine and/or decrease the symptoms. However, tamsulosin will not shrink the prostate. The prostate may continue to get larger. This may cause the symptoms to become worse over time. Therefore, even though tamsulosin may lessen the problems caused by enlarged prostate now, surgery still may be needed in the future.

You may like to know that Arnica fulfills this same function. It does so in a far safer manner than the drug and you can safely replace the drug with the Arnica.

Just be aware that using Arnica in that way is not homoeopathy, but a completely different system of medicine championed by Joe De Livera. I would suggest that rather than just trying new medicines using the same philosophy as orthodox medicine (which is not particuarly successful for them or their patients) that coming over as fully as possible to the homoeopathic way of thinking and managing illness would be probably be more advantageous for you. Obviously that is only my opinion as a professional homoeopath.
