growth on neck

I am writing on behalf of my soulmate, I figure that his unwillingness to do anything about his condition is one of his symptoms.
In the fall/winter of 2003 he developed a hard calcification/lump on the left side of his neck just below his ear and jaw. It started as a marble and quickly spread out to around 4 inches length 2 inches width and 1.5 inches deepth and still spreading . It is an entity of it's own, not attached to muscle or skin, and moves around slightly.
When touched or pressed on it has a sharp pain.
he describes it as irritating but not constantly painful.
his reaction to it was to grow a beard and cover it up (out of sight out of mind) even so the beard he grew is wild and unruly and attracts plenty of attention.
under the beard the color of skin in the growth area is markedly different. looks somewhat like a bruise, red in the center interspersed with yellow on edges.
he says that every once in awhile it gives him headaches but when I asked how he knows that that is what gives him the headaches he says that he does'nt know 'for sure' so his feeling is that it gives him headaches.
He is 51 years old and has been a mechanic since the age of 16.
he also has four other small lumps (around 1/2 inch) on his body, they have been around for about 10 years, they are not painful at all, and have not changed over the years, there is no discoloration where they are,and they may not be related at all.
A friend who is a surgeon looked at him (in a social setting) her analysis was, it is most likely not cancer (he would have been dead by now) but he should get a biopsey and have it surgically removed. In the meantime it is probably rubbing against his blood vessels and will eventually wear it down and blow a hole which is more or less instant death. Still he will not go to doctors or really do anything about it. He claims that he is worried about the costs.
He lives an extremely physical life and our daughter and I are worried that he is working to death.
Would very much appreciate any suggestions.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Whatever you do dont get it operated on.

It sounds like a case Compton Burnett had years ago when he treated a man whose knuckles had started to knit together in a solid mass (moveable) .

He concluded it was a sliex formation , and on that basis used low Silicea 2x - 3x , twicw a day for about 3 weeks . It cleared up.

If it was attached to the bone I would suggest Hecla.

I agree with Silica in this case. It seems like he has Calcified Fibroma. It takes at least 2 years to cure it.

I also heard few doctors treated this kind of condition with high potency Silica.

So why take a chance. You can have both potencies of Silica. Lower potency frequently and higher potency infrequently, ie doses of Silica 1m once a week and Silica 3X three doses each day for long time.

Thank you so much for your concern and response. we would like to start treatment but are not sure if it is Silica Marina or Silicea that we are supposed to use.
Also is the cure supposed to take a total of 2 years, will we start seeing a change sooner. It would help him stay on the remedy if he saw some changes, if need be I can make sure he stays on the regiment for as long as needed.
Thank you again it is very touching that you take the time and concern.

This site had the spelling of Scilla maritma , incorrect.

If you order from this site use waht they call Silicea -- which is SILICA

Changes or improvements won't be far away.
