baby refusing food and not putting on weight

Hi, my baby boy was born at 30 weeks weighing only 870 grams. he is 8 months old now ( about 6 months from his due date). He was eating very well after he started taking solids. he would try anything given to him. About 2 weeks ago, he threw up after eating. since then, he just would not eat.
1. He refuses to open his mouth when anything is offered to him.
2. At times, he will eat a few spoonfuls, then suddenly stop opening his mouth again.
3. He is generally a very happy baby.
4. His head is very sweaty. it seems to sweat more when he eats.
5. He is breastfed . He is just refusing solids not breast.
6. Last few weeks, he is waking up very often during the night as well.
A homeopath recommended i give him half tablet of Nat phos 6x two times a day to help with his appetite. i have been doing this for a few days , but this hasn't helped. Will nat phos result in weight loss? I read that somewhere and am worried that i have been giving him a wrong remedy. he is extremely underweight.
any suggestions to help with his appetite and weight gain will be great.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Hello.
This sounds like Calacarea. Have you noticed if he sweats on his head at night, when he sleeps?

Hello again.
No, what I thought of was Calcarea carbonica.

We need to do a bit more analysis before deciding what medication is appropriate for your son.
1. Is it a cold sweat?
2. Sweating at the top of his head or forehead, or face?
3. How are his bowel movements, loose, hard, normal? Any particular color or smell?
4. His fontanel, closed it as it should? Within a reasonable time?
5. How is his stomach, it seems bloated?
6. Does he have cold or warm hands and feet?
7. Has he had any pain in his stomach?

8. How is your diet?
Do you drink milk, cow's milk?
9. Is there a stress factor in the picture here?

Anything else you want to add?

Any particular color or smell?  they were green for a few months. now that he is on solids, at times hardit is of a different color ( orange or yellow) depending on what he eats. but mostly green.

4. His fontanel, closed it as it should? Within a reasonable time?

it is still open. but is very small now.

5. How is his stomach, it seems bloated? no

6. Does he have cold or warm hands and feet?  warm

7. Has he had any pain in his stomach? not recently.
8. How is your diet?  Do you drink milk, cow's milk? i am a vegetarian. i dont even eat eggs except in cakes and biscuits. i do drink cows milk.

  9. Is there a stress factor in the picture here?  yes, i used to be very stressed about his weight before. not as much now.

Anything else you want to add?

Okay, I'm pretty sure that it is Calcarea carbonate that your son needs.
Many things that fit with this medication. Even with his poor appetite.

You can give him a dose of Calcarea carbonate 30C, once. Wait a few days before you do anything else after that, you can contact me.
Use pills, 3 pills in a little (1DL) water. Let stand until they are dissolved, stir a little and give him a teaspoon of this water.

(Just so there is no misunderstanding, fontanel closes usually after 18 to 24 months.)

Hi, will there be any side effects of this remedy?

ritz2011 last decade
Homeopathy has not side effects, but it can occur a slight worsening of symptoms, but do not think there will be anything like that. In any case it disappears quickly. Especially when you take the medicine in water.

In which country do you live?

I am not going tell you what you should eat or not eat, but according to the blood type diet you should, who have blodtyppe B, eat red meat 2-3 times a week,Especially lamb or mutton is good for you. including some poultry, not chiken, but turkey maybe 1-2 times. Milk, cow milk, is also important for blood type B.
Your son who has blood type O, need to eat meat when he gets older.
From this and a bit of logical thinking, it may be the reason why he will not drink your milk. There is no good food in the milk. Low protein and low calcium.
My advice to you is that you start eating meat and drinking milk, at least until your son stops breastfeeding.
