The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Body won't stop shaking

I'm a 32 year old female from Diamond Bar, CA. I am looking for recommendations to stop my body anxiety. In other words, I sometimes have general anxiety, but for the past 7 weeks my body won't stop shaking despite my mind being calm. I have seen numerous naturopath and have tried different supplements (none homeopathic). None have brought me relief for more than a couple of hours. The body anxiety gets so bad at times that my body seems to shut down (can't eat or drink, can't sleep, have diarrhea, and vomit). I've lost about 20 lbs. since and have not been able to work. I would really appreciate any advice to get me back on my feet. There was no obvious reason for the onset.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You have been to doctors too I presume?

Yes, I haven't received a clear answer about why this is happening from my doctors. My psychiatrist thinks it's a panic attack flare. The meds he gave me help calm my mind but not my body. Unfortunately, they also make me feel toxic. Also, this does not feel like a panic attack (and it's been weeks).

My question was just to eliminate any possible pathology as the cause, since there are a number of diseases that might cause these kind of events as well. Clearly the doctors assumed it was a 'mental' condition after performing enough tests to satsify them.

That is correct.

What are the meds you are on?

It is probably them. They could have
some sort of speed chemical in them
or one that turns into that after you
take them.

How long have you been on them and
what is the dose? I have seen this type
of thing happen before with others
on these things, shaking, eyesight changes etc etc etc.

Klonopin 1.5 mg at night, 0.25 mg in the morning. Nortryptelene 3.7 ml (yes, ml, I'm on a tiny dose) which is equivalent to 7.4 mg. I've been on Klonopin for 10 years or so and Nortryptelene for about a year and a half. I take Ativan 1 mg as needed (not often) for about 10 years as well.

He gave me Neurontin to stop the body anxiety, but I just took it once since it made me feel gross.

It just seems like my nervous system is really active for some unknown reason.

Ok if you are wanting someone to supervise your case here (I am not currently taking on any cases) what you need to do is give a more complete description of what is happening to you.

Go through each component of your condition, and describe it in as much detail as you can. Pay particular attention to what makes it worse, what makes it better, what triggers it, what other symptoms tend to happen at the same time, when it happens (time-wise), and any pains or sensations that occur with it. Try to make the description as colourful as possible rather than just practical.

Because homoeopathy is a true holistic medicine, it would be prudent to mention any and all other issues you have in your health and life, tying in as much description again as possible. Different practitioners here use different amounts of information, but if they need more they will ask you for it.

When someone displays interest in your case, try to stick to their advice unless you are unhappy with them, rather than trying to follow advice from multiple practitioners.

Allopathic medication especially when being used regularly can create some issues for treatment, but we never ask patients to suddenly stop their medication. Medication would only be withdrawn slowly when improvement is clearly occurring.

Ok- right off the bat-
Nortyptelene-SEVERE SIDE EFFECTS
REQUIRING med attention are:
agitation, tremors, uncontrollable movements and twitching.

Regular side effect that are 'troublesome'
are vomiting, weight loss, EXCITEMENT !!
agitation.

You need another psychiatrist. You need
to call and find out how to get off this
now. I have not looked at the other two yet.

Homeopathic wise- you probably need
something to detox this stuff,
and get a remedy for anxiety and
depression , Plus be switching off
however the Dr. says to get off at least
this one drug. If he gives you some
song and dance, talk to another MD-
asap.

I know a lot about this stuff as I was
given similar when I got panic attacks-
and I went off of all of it ( only took
one dose of the smorgasbord they
were offering and I had side effects
asap) They dr.s told me They did not
see 'how' that could be??? It did not
say that was possible in their directions etc. That is why all of those
drugs are now lawsuits on TV right
now.

So A. Get off the Norty. Ask how.
B. I can look for homeopath face to face for you?? I am in California.

Tremor is a severe side effect of Klonopin
but it is listed at the very end of severe
side effects.

Whereas the Norty has all the tremor
etc at the start. Logically if you have only
been on the Norty for a year, and the
other for 10 years with out this problem
the odds are it is the Norty. Plus it has that strange side effect of excitement.

That has come up since it can cause anxiety if you go up too quickly. I ruled it out since 2 Naturopaths said it muscle tested well. It seemed like my body liked it.

I've been told that Klonopin is toxic and should consider getting off it in the future. I said I would once I got stable again.

Muscle testing is not actually very reliable. I would be cautious about accepting that as any kind of proof especially in medical matters like this.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
I would not go by Muscle testing.
Go by logic. Find out how to decrease
or stop taking it- In a SAFE WAY from
your Dr. Not a naturopath.

That is how you are going to find your
answer. I have been a caregiver for
people on these drugs- the klonopin etc
and schizophrenic meds etc _ it took
some very excellent prescribing psychiatrists, who lecture on this stuff
to get the right drugs, and the right mix
for these people to not have what you
have going on.-

And you can get off all of them and get healed
with homeopathic treatment. But you have to go
to a real homeopath dr. who has a good cure rate
and 5 years at least experience and has dealt with
mental disorders. You cannot go to a naturopath
for the homeopathy, they do not have the
training in depth.

Nothing on this forum is going to come close
to you seeing a real homeopath, that is the best
and you need the best right now.

Hi- Ok I spent about an hour going
thru people and I like this woman
homeopath. She is very experienced and
has done cases of depression etc etc.

She is in woodland Hills, so don't be put
off by an hour drive or whatever, bc the
first appt is hour and half etc and then
you can work with her on phone etc etc.
You want someone who knows their
stuff.

Her name, is Sadhna Thakkar Homeopathy-Check out her site and
testimonials- She is the real deal.

simone717 last decade
Thank you for the advice. :)

Please check it out. I had panic attacks
etc, used Valium very rare to hold them
off, but used homeopathic to support
bc I could not take the stuff they were
handing out. You can get off it and get
well. I no longer have them. And, on
the news yesterday, GlaxcoKline the makers of Paxil and a bunch of other
drugs for these problems just got fine
ONE BILLION dollars. for LYING to the
MEDICAL PROFESSION and FDA about
side effects.

So please check her out- if it does not
work for whatever reason come back
on I will find more for you.
