16 year old cat - chronic nasal discharge

Thoughts please:

16 year old cat from South Africa - was found in a trash can at 1 day old and moved to New Zealand.

Since the death of the other cat in 2009 he has had a chronic snuffly/blocked nose.

The discharge is colorless.
It is thin but becomes thicker when he's not on antibiotics.
He has no appetite when he is like this.

Has always been quite a stressed cat also.

He hates going outside and having interactions with neighborhood cats. When he does he doesn't eat for a day.

Low energy levels

Fussy eater.

Loves human company

When stressed pupils are dialated.

Any thoughts????

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Starclipper,

you can put in your post that this is
for your Homeopathy Animal class. I think
then people can enjoy figuring it out,
and you might get more response.

Please give him Nux Vomica 30 in the morning and evening for 3 days and see how that affects in next few days.

One dose means:
You may add 2 pills or drops to some water, dissolve nicely and give some sips to your cat for a period less than 15 minutes.

You may also pop 2 pills or drops in his mouth and this will be also considered as one dose.

Thanks Kara.. That's really interesting

Do you think the NBWS is a key factor in this case?

All factors are key factors and sometimes the homeopath becomes sick while extracting the minutest of the minute details!!

The cause of disease is more important than NBWS.

Thank you

Did you take this as a factor with nux vomica? I've been reading through and can't really see

Under which head have you looked for this factor in nux vomica and other remedies? Do you look it in guiding symptoms?

Just through clarkes Materia medica and his website.

After more investigation the snotty nose did start BEFORE the other cat dies but it got worse when the cat died because there was no one to fend of the neighboring cats.
Every time the 16 year old comes in contact / interfered with/ gets a fright from the neighbors cats he gets snotty with continuing clear discharge

He looses his sense of smell and taste and then doesn't eat
