plz help
my baby is 2 months old...for four days he is suffering from loose motions....6-7 motions a day...before that he poops only once a day...his appetite is normal...no other problem...he is taking formula milk (O-lac)its lactose free...im giving him allopathic medicines like flygel...please please suggest some medicines...in start i gave him croton...carboveg...china etc but no effect ...now alomst is week is passed but he is still not ok now his stool has becum a little thick but he passes gas as he passes stoolikrmakhan on 2012-07-19

Hi just because the milk is lactose free this does not mean he is not allergic or intolerant. my son was severly intolerant and he started with loose stools which progressivly got worse to the point he had orange water stools and lots of blood being lost (this is rare) i am not trying to worry you but make you aware that it can also be the protien in the milk not just lactose. can you try an alternative to see if this helps. my Son was good with neocate. and then goats formula when he was older.

his general behaviour was very much fine even now he is not a stubborn baby...he sleeps at his time...does not cry unless he is hungry...stool colour is yellow sumwht in b/w thick n thin poop means sometimes watery n sometimes little solid but poops in a very small quantity n with much flatulence...nothing special i noticed...wht i feel he is a very satisfied n calm baby..one thing more we cant say loose motion it is just a motion as soon as he takes milk...i tried cow milk but the result was same
