Son with persistent nosebleeds
Hi All,My son, age 8, has had nosebleeds every since he was little. They seem to happen regardless of the time of year, time of day and they happen even with a humidifier in his room. We've seen allergists and ents and no one really has anything to say other than try a nasal steroid which never helped and then i weaned him off it. he doesn't have any diagnosed allergies and his tonsils and adenoids are fine. ENT said he just has an unexplained inflammation of the nasal passages. He's ALWAYS stuffed up. He rarely has sinus infections, but just can't breathe and then will eventually have a nose bleed. He does a lot of sniffing for breath, this is getting worse. He doesn't have a runny nose.
He is incredibly skinny, very sensitive, and struggles with stamina and energy, especially toward the end of the day. He has always had a hard time sleeping and requires a lot of it. We have to use blackout curtains and a white noise machine and even then he will wake up early and tired, often with bags under his eyes. Before bedtime he can become irritable. I have to wonder if his sleep issues are tied in with his breathing/nosebleed issues.
He doesn't like rough, physical play, will scream and cry easily and is very, very sweet. Especially with his baby brother. He is very musical and has an excellent memory, especially for music and language. Not very imaginative.
I hope someone can give me some ideas. I know this is a lot of info, but i like to be thorough and i know that this is the kind of information that helps when seeking a remedy. THANK YOU!

Hi-my son had some issues like this- did not find
out till teens that he is allergic to wheat and dairy-
that helped a lot with his energy levels and sleep.
but on the nose issues, you might try this ocean premium
saline nasal solution- don't get one with any medicines
in it- but it soothes and cleans the nasal passages and
sinus - son used it 3x a day at start and then once a day,
now just as needed once in awhile- he got the nasal spray
also from ENT and did not want to use it. Just the simple
saline solution kept inflammation down enough so that
the body had enough energy to fix itself.
