Your name seems familiar and I believe that I have treated you for some ailment many years ago on the ABC or the H & M.

I am now 83 years of age and am still trying to help suffering humanity with my 'Joepathy' which you may remember was the term that classical homeopaths used to derisively describe my 'This for That' therapy which strangely enough seemed to cure more effectively than the classical homeopaths who resorted to their classical therapy.

It is remarkable how a Virus can spread in both India and here in Sri Lanka and in other parts of the world in a few months and cause so much sickness. Dengue comes in 2 distinct categories DHF (Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever) and DF (Dengue Fever). There is also a third type infecting our population which is a variant of the DF with the difference is that it affects the throat, resulting in a hoarse or sore throat with body aches and a mild fever ending up in severe bouts of coughing.

The latter is always treated with antibiotics by the doctors while for the Dengue variants there is no drug that can cure the patient. The official medical treatment meted out in our hospitals here where medical treatment is free, is to treat the fever and body ache with Paracetamol and if the patient responds with a low Platelet count below 15000 the standard therapy is an IV drip of Dextrose and as a last resort Oxygen is given usually in the ICU .

This viral fever can be considered as a chronic type as it does not seem to leave the patient as some of them have reported that they were reinfected with this Flu virus which makes one feel out of sorts sometimes with a low temperature which in some cases can go on for even as long as 6 months.

There is the case of a patient who was himself a Paediatrician in an Indian hospital who was compelled to take 2 tablets Paracetamol in the morning and 2 tablets in the evening for 6 MONTHS to enable him to carry on with his duty in his hospital. He had gone through a series of detailed investigations in his hospital and everything was absolutely normal. His case was referred to me by his friend and classmate who lives in the US and I prescribed Eupatorium Perfoliatum 200 in the Wet dose which I have often prescribed for patients here in Sri Lanka with excellent results. This is incidentally the same remedy that I have used for many hundreds of patients to CURE them of their Dengue with 100% results.

The paediatrician took his first dose of the remedy late in the evening and he was absolutely stupefied to discover the following morning that his body aches and temperature which he has suffered from for 6 months had suddenly left him. He was CURED with just ONE dose of Eupatorium Perfoliatum 200 in the Wet dose which he took in the evening which he followed up with another the following morning in spite of his feeling quite well at that time.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in the Liquid pack in Alcohol, also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this enhances the effect of the remedy on the user.

In your case since you have the throat infection, you can take both remedies leaving a gap of about an hour between each, thrice daily on the first day. You can reduce the dosage to twice on the second day but It is very likely that you will have to take the Bryonia 200 in the Wet dose for a few days after the body aches and fever have left you to stabilise the throat..

I am happy that even at my advanced age, I did remember that I had treated you perhaps 5+ years ago.

You are absolutely correct that I do owe my state of health without any ache or other ailment but I would like to state that I am convinced that I owe my wellness first to God and to Arnica in that order. I do believe that I am living testimony to the efficacy of Arnica to maintain the human body in a state that defies the standard accepted norms of ageing where it is accepted that one slows down with age and accepts the aches and pains of the advancing years with patience and resignation. I believe that I have disproved these norms and look forward to a few more years if God so will it to enable me to treat more patients with my Joepathy which is now accepted by other Homeopaths including the Dr Banerji Homeopathic Foundation who also use my 'This for That' therapy which you can read about on:

I can honestly state that I have not observed any difference in my attitude to life as it was say, 25 years ago and today. I do still drive myself to work daily but I do leave a little earlier than usual as driving is easier before the rush hour.

I often feel embarrassed when visitors assess my age at around 65 and many refuse to believe that I am all of 83 and will shortly be 84 next October.

And all because I have taken a capful (teaspoonful) of Arnica for the last 17 years nightly.

Please note that Eupat Perf 200 is NOT the remedy to treat your throat virus. You must use Bryonia 200c in the Wet dose taken every 3 hours after gargling and swallowing it to enable the throat tissue to absorb it better. You will repeat the dose every 3 hours till your throat returns to normal in about 2-3 days.

If you present a fever you can add the Eupat Perf 200 taken thrice daily.
