colicky baby-urgent help please

hi, i have an 8 weeks old baby who has been suffering with colics since he was 2.5weeks. he is very windy and cries all times, specially from the afternoon until late night when he falls asleep until early feed around 6am. nights are usually good but he doesnt stop crying during the day. he brings his legs up and seems in real pain. we can only conosole him carrying him, moving around and would not want to lay on his back. when the symtoms started he would also arch his back and seemed to have reflux as i could hear milk up and down his throat but he seems better. he also used to poo a lot, about 2 dirty napoies every feed. we started to give him lactase to help digest lactose as i am breastfeeding and he has improved but still crying a lot. i tried a lactose free formula and it works wonders as he was happy and smiling but would prefer to carry on breasfeeding as the doctor advised.many thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
give the baby one dose of chamomilla 200c (2 pills) at 12-00 noon for three days and stop watch for about a week & report back the improvement.
do not fail to feed boiled water with slight amount of sugar candy (mishri) disolved, as & when he cries.he may be just thirsty which only water can solve the problem.

My Son was allergic to breast milk also, have you cut out all dairy from your diet? Failing that try cutting out wheat but more likely the dairy

Good luck

hi, baby seems much more calm and crying spells have reduced, many thanks for your advice. i am still on a dairy free diet. could i carry giving baby chamomilla if he is upset again, maybe a lower dose?

i am also giving him the lactase drops to help digest the lactose in breast milk, would you suggest a remedy for this (aethusa or other.) so that i can stop the drops or better carrying with the drops? when i gave him a lactose free formula he was a new happy baby but really eant to breasfeed him. he was very windy, unsettled, crying all times, lots of dirty explosive nappies before. then better with the lactase drops although not well.

i have also read about the beneficial properties of giving colicky babies probiotic powder to help their guts would you recommend this?

many thanks again. i am going on holiday tomorrow but will report back on our return.

I think you need to feed your lots of water. properly boiled & little sugar added to it. Little one is thirsty & only water can quench its thirst. At least I believe so. The choice is yours. Do not repeat Chammomilla now.It will work further without repeatation.
