toddler sleeps restlessly

My sixteen month old daughter does not sleep very well. She only sleeps about three or four hours before waking. She kicks and cries out in her sleep.

I think some of it is because she does not eat very much either. She doesn't like milk. She also will not eat very many fruits or veggies. Sometimes if they are mixed in with something she will take them. But sometimes, it also means she just will not eat any the food that it is mixed in with.

She has had yeast infections off and on since February. I have been working with a kinesiologist on what foods to give her. I recently found out she can have almost anything she wants of fruits and veggies. I have to be careful with bread still.

Last week she slept 7 hours before waking. This is about the first or maybe second time in her life she has done this. I think it was because she had very bad sleep two nights in a row due to a very bad diaper rash caused by disposable wipes which I don't normally use.

That night I had given her chamomilla because it seemed to fit her mood the last day or two. I gave it to her the next night and she was back to her old sleep routine.

She is a sweet girl. She is playful and sometimes mischievous.

She is sometimes fearful of people, especially people with long dark hair or people who get right in her face and talk to her. She is starting to be more social though.

She is sometimes clingy and wants to hang onto my legs.

She sometimes has tantrums about every other day.

Any suggestions on how my daughter (and I!) can get some better sleep?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
FOR THE BABY :
Kali Phos-3X, one tablet or equivalent powder, every 4th hour, will take care of her sleep problems. You may continue giving her other Homoeo medicines (if any) alongwith above. Safe for long term usage.

FOR THE MOTHER :
Kali Phos-12x, four tablets or equivalent powder, every 4th hour. You may continue any other Homoeo medicines alongwith above.

FOR THE BABY : Almond Milk.
How to prepare : Soak 10 almonds for atleast 24 hours (change water every 8 hours). De-Skin them after 24 hours. Pulverise (grinder / mixer) the almonds into a fine paste. Add 500 ml mineral water to this paste. Pulverise again for half a minute. NOW IMPORTANT : Strain this through a fine cloth. The resulting liquid is Almond Milk. Safe 1000% for the babies stomach, totally non allergic, full of all known nutrients. Add Honey as sweetner, but strictly no table sugar.

You may feed the Almond milk, as many number of times to the baby, at all ages.

CAUTION : Almond milk cannot be heated (boiled). It cannot be stored. Do not feed pre-prepared Almond milk.

Strong Suggestion : You may add Mag.Phos.6X, 10 tablets to the above 500 ml milk. Mag.Phos. is a natural constituent of mothers Milk. This adds weight to the baby.

HA21, thanks for your response. I'm pretty sure the place I get my homeopathics from does not have those potencies. They have 6X, 12C, and 30X. Is it okay to use any of those, or do I need to order them?

Also, forgot to mention that she still is nursing, but I will probably still try the Mag Phos because she is small.

I have a toddler with similar issue and he will be 24 months next week. I am going to try your suggestion today. Can the almond milk that is prepared in the morning be given through the day (till the evening) without storing in the refrigerator?

I just realized that the previous post was made in 2005. I am not sure if HA21 responds here, but if anyone could post an answer to my query, I'd really appreciate that!

perhaps your daughter sleeps poorly, and gets yeast infections because she is being sexually abused by someone with long dark hair?

just a thought...
