What is SL in Homeopathy
What does the remedy SL stand for and what is its dosage.I definitely know that its not Sulphur or Silicea What are other Possibility.

I am Suffering from Knee Pain since Jan 2012, Back Pain Since Mar 2012, All Joint Pains since April 2012
Cervical Spondilosis since May 2012.
Knee-Xray Normal
Back-Xray Normal
Neck: Spondolysis in c4,c5,c6 Spaces Normal
Diognosis Then Performed All tests result Vit-D Deficiency Now Corrected.
RA-ve
Acid reflux since 2010 Now Acid Reflux is under control with Medicines.
I been to Various Homeo Veterans with Poor Result.
Now I have been to Govt Homeopathy there Homeopath Prescribed
Since Last 40 days my neck has been continuously cracking(like krick kirck) very badly without pain, May be Disks are eroding
Bryonia 200c 1day(6/6/6)
SL 4/4
MP+CP 6x(2/2)Daily
SL is giving little pain relief.
My Question to you is
1. What is Full Name of SL and can it be taken (5/5/5)Daily.
I asked one of Jr Dr full Form of SL they said something like seclartum.
2. is it recommemdable to take CP,MP in 200c if so what could be the dosage

Prescription is perfect. Please continue.Based on your feedback, your homepath will make required changes.
It is NOT recommended to take CP/ MP in 200C daily.
You may add NP 6X (1/1/1) - 30 mts before food.

SL is Sac. Lac. or saccharum lactis. It's made up of sugar and usually has no remedy on it or in other words a placebo remedy to satisfy the patient's need to take something on a regular basis. But surprisingly in a few cases it has helped to an extent.
It can be used for any long.

It helps because the earlier remedy continues to work internally. It also satisfies desire to take remedies regularly.

the doctor prescribed sac lac 30 to me for a week, for cough ! and told me to stop all other medicines !!! now the earlier medicines which I took for cough were hepar sulph 200, and then lycopodium 200, but the doctor did not even ask the potency of lyco which I was taking and told me to stop all other medicines !!! and I found sac lac working even better than lyco !!! how can it happen with mere plain alcohol ???

The sac lac was not doing anything. It was what you took earlier.

SL has been known to improve some symptoms(based on empirical evidence). So no surprise that you feel better than Lycopodium.
But it'd be hard to explain why is that so. One factor is placebo effect. Another is that----vital force is calming down from the previously used remedies with the benign action of the earlier remedy/remedies developing well. See Kadwa's answer above.

you know what I saw ? she put the liquid from the SAC LAC 30 bottle on the sugar globules !!! now that is why I asked - can plain alcohol be potencised ? now can it be a lie that it was nothing potencised but just plain alcohol ? but why with every dose of sac lac 30 some expectoration happens and cough goes for a long sleep !!!? how can it be that every dose of plain alcohol ? no energy ? or with energy ? be causing an action !!!

There is a remedy alcohol which is potentised using plain alcohol.
But this is not the case with sac. lac. No pharmacy will give you remedy alcohol in place of sac. lac.
As i said earlier certain changes can be noted even with sac. lac. But if you want to know an accurate explanation for your cough, expectoration, then you will have to discuss it with your practitioner who has recommended sac. lac.
