The ABC Homeopathy Forum

combinations of homeopathic types

i'm fairly new to homeopathy and have been reading a lot lately to try figure out my constitutional type. i hesitate between phosphoorus and pulsatilla.

perhaps at this moment i recognize myself a tiny bit more in pulsatilla. but at other times it would be phosphorus.

is one really just 1 type, or can it be that one is more than one type, and that depending on the phase of life one is in one of the two is stronger?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
perhaps i should add some details. my physical problems are head aches due to neck injury; spinal problems; hip problem, aching sacrum - all due to overexercizing or to exercizing wrongly. furthermore i easily have indigestions (whereas i eat very light) and liver area pains.

what i recognize in both types is the hypersensitivity and the need for company and the need for hugs etc.

further,
i look like a phosphorus: tall slender, auburn hair, dark eyes. sharp facial features, usually dressed in bright red colors. love spicy, salty food. flourish when teh sun is shining. oversensitive - both physically and emotionally - to grey weather and to changes in the weather. can't sit still. restlessness is my middle name. love writing, acting, dancing, partying. when i'm hungry i must eat or i feel as if i'm fainting. light, restless sleep. very colorful dreams. predictive dreams. am hypersensitive to other people's moods and thoughts. am basically hypersensitive to everythign. always do my best to stay warm and friendly. just every now and tehn i explode, if a friendly approach has failed to discuss an issue.

but what i recognize in the pulsatilla type, is teh changeability, of my moods and of my symptoms. one day i have this and the other day that. also suffer from "walking arthritis". have a bad spine and it's injured at several places. sometimes i'm so sad that i have to lock myself up in the toilets at work to cry. can start crying when i see people begging in the streets. feel guilty whenever i cannot give money to beggars. i'll always do everything to avoid conflict. have always been a peacemaker - in the family, in the community, at work. look and feel much younger than i am. can't digest fat food.

Hello,
I believe a person can be more than one homeopathic constitutional type. You tend towards relating more to one type, but other elements may be there. You do sound like a Phosphorus, so the best thing to do is try to it in the 30th potency once or twice a week for about one month. You may increase the potency if you get a positive result. If this doen't do any good, try Pulsatilla also. Homeopathy, although a relatively exact science, does require experimentation with remedies to see what suits you. Hope this helps.

thank you very much for your reply. actually, last night, before i'd read your reply, i decided to first try pulsatilla. even though i recognize myself very much in phosphorus, at this precise moment in my life my symptoms (the spine problems and teh wandering arthritis) and moods (feeling pretty fragile, helpless and directionless) seem more pulsatilla-like.

thanx again!

There's only one way to prescribe in homeopathy: on the totality of DISEASE symptoms!
pictures of fat or lean, blond/brunette etc are not expressing the disease and so, if you want to get results (=cure) please do not take them (too much) into account.
consider only what needs to be changed to return to the healthy state.

thx. that seems to confirm my choice for pulsatilla.
