erika-can you help me?
Hi erika. It's good to see you posting again. I hope it's ok to ask you to look at this for me. My 13 year old daughter has a few problems I'd like to treat with a homeopathic remedy. They are:wart on her finger
hayfever, mainly spring/summer
obesity/weight gain
acne
late/irregular periods
incontinence
attitude towards school-poor math grades
attitude towards others
Her physician has mentioned possible ovarian problem pcos. We haven't done the testing, but symptoms are there.

She sneezes every morning.
Her period is delayed. 60 days last time
Calls herself a loner. Has had many disappointments in life She tends toward sarcasm and gets into "dark form" dark mood.
Very spiritually aware, light and dark.
She has dark hair and eyes, round face. Pale.
Loves writing, drawing cartoons and is moved by music.
Clings to mom, tolerates dad.
Resists bathing.
School is torture. Resists structure and restrictions.
Always behind in math and science. Understanding comes slowly. Does not test well.

She starting to gain weight around 6 years old. When she was 5 she had the school vaccinations. Then when she was 6 was diagnosed with urinary reflux. Had VCUG test where dye is injected into bladder. This was traumatic for her. She took antibiotic for about 2 years to prevent urinary infection. At 7, she was hospitalized for pneumonia. Later she had another VCUG to stop antibiotics. With all of this going on, her father was not accepting of her. Also before this she had exceptional memory. After, not so good.
It would be great to hear your thoughts if possible. This is like a puzzle I can't seem to fit together.

Has she been tested for learning disabilities or is it just memory that is affected?

The VCUG test resulted in her taking the antibiotics for 2 years. They diagnosed vesicoureteral reflux level one. After the 2nd VCUG I was so glad to get her off the RX. But I noticed she was gaining weight by then.
She hasn't really had any tests recently.
Most recently for her was a check up a couple of years ago . Her physician gave hormone cream for application to fused labia. The Dr. ordered testing for ADHD, but I did not take my daughter since I felt there was not a satisfactory way to treat whatever they may have diagnosed. She says she gets confused easily. She may have had a blood test to check thyroid. That was not abnormal.
Other than that, she fell off of her bike a couple of years ago and had a concussion from hitting her head on the street. She had the catscan at the ER at that time.
Regarding incontinence, it could be bowel and bladder (this goes all the way back to that VCUG). I've seen some signs of this. It doesn't seem to be all the time, but I can't pinpoint when.
About the appetite, she could live on starch. Rice, noodles, pasta, etc. She likes some fruits, no veggies. Loves popcorn, chips and SWEETS. ICE CREAM. She drinks only tap water and pop if I let her. Sometimes milk. Likes sweetened yogurt.

You need to be more specific for me about the incontinence. Does this affect her daily, does she wear pads? is it just leakage? when?
which finger the wart?
as exactly as poss how much weight gain? Is it really excessive (if you use pounds pls say if UK or US pounds)?
where is the acne? what is it like?
how late/irregular periods? With pain, pms, any headaches or extreme appetite, fevers etc.?

Acne of face, neck, chest, shoulders, back. Breakouts.

there are several remedies I would consider here, but I really think that the best remedy to start treatment with would be Sepia 6c.
Initially your daughter should take 1 dose 3 times daily for one week, then 1 dose twice daily for one week, then 1 dose once daily for 2 weeks. If there are any problems with this then get back to me.
It may be that you need to keep to 2-3 times daily for the whole 4 weeks, so get back before the 3-4 weeks are over if you feel this may be necessary.
AT ANY TIME IF THINGS GET WORSE she should stop taking the remedy and you should come back for advice.
Normally I keep weekly touch with someone taking the remedy in this way so this could be a good option for you to post weekly so that adjustments can be made to dosage or to remedy.

I've been looking at Sepia since you recommended it. The only question I have is-I don't see incontinence mentioned. Did I miss it, or is it called something else? What is your thinking on this. I plan on getting my daughter started on Sepia 6c this week.

Hello. I went to the store today. I purchased Sep 30c. Can I use this? How would the dosage change? Would the action be the same? Please let me know. It will take a bit more time to order/receive the 6c. The only other one they had was 6x.

In either case, how many pellets per dose (vial says 5, but I think I've read here that even one is sufficient?)
Also, could you clear my confusion about wet dosing. Pellets in how much water?

Hi - wet or dry dose would be ok.
If you take dry dose 1 pellet = 1 dose.
With wet dose 1 sip = 1 dose (this should be held in the mouth for a while).
If you put the pellet/pillules in a small bottle of spring water it should be enough to put 5-6 pellets in the water.

you can use the same bottle for several days - the only reason to change bottles is if any bacteria grow in the bottle (cloudy appearance, or bits in the water).

Erika-Started Sepia 6c wet dose. Today is 4th day. So far so good. Not having any problems, is cooperating with me in all things so far. I am noticing that the sneezing and sniffly nose that we treated with Allium with pretty good success a while back came back for a day or so. Interesting. I take this as a sign of healing. Am looking forward to more signs of healing. This is exciting for me. I'll keep you posted. Joy

Hi Erika. After 1 week on Sepia 6c 3 times/day, my daughter seems to be doing ok. But I noticed her acne has changed. Odd. It now sort of circles the middle of her face around her mouth and nose. I take this as a sign of healing. Do you recommned Arnica for healing this while she is on Sepia.
Also, her bowel incontinence seems more of a problem. I am just observing, as she doesn't really share with me.

Hi joy - it sounds like you should stop giving the remedy for a few days until this skin reaction settles and then reduce the dosage to 1 daily - let me know how she is once you do this.
You can certainly give arnica alongside to help the skin heal.
