The ABC Homeopathy Forum

please help with infant reflux

hello all,
i have an 11 week old baby girl who has been having symptoms of reflux since she was born, moreso as of late. I am confused as to what remedy/potancy/dosage is best for her little body. her symptoms:
-most times, she has reflux after every meal/breastfeeding
-she takes small frequent meals
-has wet burps, big and uncomfortably daily, but not after each feeding.
-reflux sometimes is 'silent'- where she does not actually spit up but i hear her gulping and swallowing it back down.
-sometimes vomits after her feeding/breastmilk and seems very watery w/ saliva mucus.
- only has 1 bowel movement a day
-is a terrible sleeper once the afternoon comes: light sleeper. frequent waking at nite. tosses and turns/grumbles frequently in sleep.
- big burps after every meal
-lots of gas passed
-does not seems to be colic- no pains from gas.
- white coated tongue since first week of life.
-otherwise a calm and alert baby, only cries when hungry.

thank you for your input:)

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
The remedies that have proved to be very effective for Baby GERD or reflux are:

Nat Phos 6x dose half tablet dissolved in milk given immediately after a feed

You will STOP all other drugs prescribed for baby which as you have already seen have not done any good.

Please confirm that you burp him immediately after each feed.

You will avoid all food that can cause any distress to baby. You must know that they are passed on to baby through your breast milk.

You (the mother) will take Nat Phos 6x dose 2 tablets after each of 3 meals daily and ca 30c in the Wet dose taken twice daily. The idea is that your milk will pass the effect to baby.

You will not give baby any solids whatever till he is 12 months old.

thank you for your response Joe! Just after I had posted this to the forum, I dicovered my baby had a posterior tongue-tie. We drove to NYC to have it clipped last week, and she is doing better.
She still has nasal congestion, and does not always sleep well at night--but symptoms have improved much.
I will take the remedies as described by Joe, thank you for taking the time to post:)

As you are aware Posterior Tongue Tie is a very rare condition and I am glad that this problem was diagnosed early. I note that you have already had it clipped and that your baby is doing well.

You will not give baby the Nat Phos as originally prescribed and you do not really have to take it. If however you choose to use it, Nat Phos will help to reduce your weighty about 1kg per week.

thanks Joe. She still has some reflux symptoms, though much less frequent and of milder severity.

i will try the nat phos for reducing my baby weight:)

blessings!
