Transparency in homeopathy

hello doctor, since i am a student myself, i recently asked my homeopath to tell me the name of the medicine that she was administering to me for my sinus so that i could understand it better since i was the person consuming it and also because i had been reporting ill effects of the medicine which she termed as normal or blamed it on the weather. she refused to tell me stating that i cud then become 'biased'. i cud nt really understand wht she said bt later on while reading my pharmacy buk i realised that the doctor is supposed to provide the patient with a prescription which she never has. is this true? are v not supposed to be telling our patients wht medicine v giv to them? my mother is still consulting her, should i ask her not to?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Some homeopaths always tell patients what they are giving them-
and some do not. Some homeopaths when they are ill on purpose
ask another homeopath to treat them and NOT tell them the medicine
bc they know too much about the medicines and will then think
too much about whether it is right or be looking for wrong effects and
feel this interferes with body reactions and vital force.

Of course if you were to change homeopaths- I think your homeopath
would inform the new one what is being given. Also when homeopaths
want people to wait and think the person will not wait some will
give placebo or prescription called SL- sac lac just the pills with sugar
and nothing on it.

It is up to you to decide what works for you. I always want to know
what I am putting into my body - in Usa the above approach won't
work.

hi Simon,
It is good to tell the remedy to the person who knows about homeopathy, but there are so many people I mean most of the ppl who are habituated with allopathic drugs, they ask very natural question(which appear funny to us)like, only this much? what will happen with such small qty? I wonder whether I will get any comfort!!
Actually you will be respected as a doctor if you use the jargon of Anatomy, physiology in front of patient if you send them for dignostics, like MRI,sonography etc.
If you talk simple language they rate you low,
I mean the ppl are so Hyppocratic and then they don't even realise any point time in their life time what way they are living and they merrily continue doing so..they never introspect ask questions to themselves, compare the allopathic drugs and our remedies that how smoothly they got cured.
One very good thing abt our remedies is that they work so smooth that patient is in confusion that now he is comfortable only persons of keen intellect can differentiate this subtle difference.. in nutshell one shuld judge the catagory of the patient and then tell him.
