Advice please for stuttering child

Hi,

I’d be very grateful for any homeopathy suggestions to help my son please.

He is 8.5 years and has a slight stammer. It seems to happen on the first word of certain sentences, and with words like well, how, where, there. The rest of the sentences are fine, it just seems to happen mostly at the beginning. It seems like he can’t actually say the word and elongates it, then the rest of the sentence flows fine.
He did have a slight stammer when he was about 5 (it got worse when we thinking about moving out of the area, so we decided not to move) but then it resolved, but has become a bit more noticeable now, but with no reason that we can see – he is not worried about anything, no traumas or problems that could account for it. Seems to have started again as the weather has got colder.

Sometimes he wants to speak quickly – almost as if his brain is moving faster than his mouth, but he seems to get stuck on the first word sometimes – not every sentence and happens more when he is tired.

He was born by c-section 2 weeks early due to placenta praevia, and has been quite slow to do things (crawled at 11 months, walked at 18 months, quite late to talk and did have problems with pronouncing the letter until age 4 or 5.). In the middle of the class at school. Has a tendency not to listen – especially if he is doing something else and also has a tendency to forget what he’s just been told.
He is happy at school and has a lot of friends. Likes to be a problem-solver and help his friends problems with helpful solutions.
He likes music and singing, plays violin but doesn’t enjoy reading.
He is fair haired and very slim. Athletic – enjoys running and doesn’t get tired easily. Would be happy to stay up late every night if allowed. Always wakes early in happy mood. Happy child unless things don’t go his way then he can get irritable and easily angered, quick to lose temper with himself and others but temper problems easily resolved and doesn’t harbour grudges or sulks.

Has had molluscum contagiosum twice in last 4 years that Thuja has quickly cleared. Also had a verruca over summer but now resolved.
He has quite a lot of colds – mucus in nose – but no fever/feeling ill, and is otherwise heathy.
Eats well – enjoys all sorts of food – especially cheese, which he has started to eat a lot of recently.

Any advice on a good homeopathic remedy would be very welcome please. Thanks!

PS - he also finds it hard to get to sleep, is scared of the dark and needs to sleep with a light on. He usually wakes early - about 6am. Feels anxious at bedtime and about going to sleep.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please take three doses of Causticum 200 as follows and see how that affects in next 15 days (only 3 doses in 15 days).

day 1 morning
1st dose

day 1 evening
2nd dose

day 2 morning
3rd dose

If you have taken sulphur 30 earlier, it is better to take a single dose of calc carb 200 and start lycopodium 200 on next day.

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 2 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 2 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.

Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

Please give him Causticum 30C in the morning and evening for 3 days and see how that affects in next 15 days.

Kindly excuse me for that Sulphur thing, it seems that i didn't remove that irrelevant line while doing copy paste. Sulphur has to do nothing here.

Hello Mr. Kadwa.
Just a suggestion, if Causticum fails.

'PS - he also finds it hard to get to sleep, is scared of the dark and needs to sleep with a light on. He usually wakes early - about 6am. Feels anxious at bedtime and about going to sleep.'

Maybe Stramonium fits these symptoms?

Sincerely, Parakletos

Hi,

I gave the Causticum as directed, and it is now 2 weeks later.

The stutter seems to be a little better, but not much improvement. He is still very nervous of the dark, and while happy to chat to people he knows (with a minimal stutter that he is unaware of), he gets very nervous and shy around new people and fears he will stutter if he has to talk to new people/or if he has to say anything in his school assembly.

During the last 2 weeks he has had to say a couple of lines in his school assembly, and was very worried he would stutter, and this made his general stuttering worse in the days before the assembly, but on the day he read the words out fine with no stutter, so since then the stutter has reverted to being quite minimal. Would you suggest any further or alternative remedies please?

Thanks,

It seems that the remedy is working. Please don't give him any remedy for the time being. You may give him a single dose of Causticum 200 if he stutters more. You should report back after 15 days of giving him Causticum 200. Parakletos made a good suggestion and i have noted that. But let us see how far we can go with causticum.
