The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Lycopodium and Caladium Seguinum??

I am new to homeopathy and would like some advice.
I have a number of ailments that allopathy hasnt given me an answer to.

Firstly I am male and just turned 25. I have noticeable thinning of the hair, at the sides on the front, but mostly on the crown. I also have a fair bit of premature greying of my hair.
I have suffered skin problems since I was a teenager, mostly acne on the face which has left me with pitted scars on the face. Acne has eased a little since teenage years but never fully left me. I am a shy person who likes solitude but still live with my parents as I get anxious and like to feel as though there are people in the house. Despite being a person of reasonable intelligence I really dont like reading or studying unless I have to, and despite learning well I do poorly in exams. This is a frustration as I am at university. I am shy but when around people i know well I can be sarcastic and sometimes arrogant, which I guess hides my insecurity, but to my shame I can, at times be a verbal bully. =( I am very insecure but often act as though I am better than others...
I have been plagued with poor digestion for some time, in particular eating gluten makes my skin worse but dont really have any strong allergies of any particular kind, just generally poor after meals and so I tend to prefer smaller meals and dont eat the same thing often. At age 8 I was diagnosed with attention deficit disorder and can be very absent minded, with difficulty concentrating for long periods of time.
Finally I have some erection problems, I am not sexually active so Its hard to comment on their severity or whether premature ejaculation is an issue for me.
I do not take medications but do take some fish oil and Maca root, and today bought some tissue salts to try and find relief from some issues, including the silica and nat mur. I have quite light sensitive eyes, have always had very fair skin, although I'm not ginger (i burn from the sun easily) and have trouble keeping weight on, despite always being thin and trying to exercise regularly I tend to be out of breath when walking up hills etc.
When I tried to use the Remedy Finder on this website it said that lycopodium is what I needed for hair loss anxiety etc, while for the erection problems it mentioned Caladium Seguinum.

My questions are:
Does this result seem right?
Can I take these with the tissue salts or do they clash?
Will these two remedies mentioned above clash or can they be taken together?
Any side effects?
how much, what potency and for how long do I take them????

Any advice appreciated thankyou. =)

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Dear Genetic_minscreant,

According to Kent,
using two remedies at a same time indecates the inability of homeopathic doctor.
Specially if those Two remedies are constitutional.

So use the remedy at which your current and last smptoms are present.

thanks, although I got those remedies from this site, I WILL keep that in mind though.
Do you know what kind of dose I should take though?
In your opinion do my symptoms of hair loss, early grey hairs and anxiety best suit lycopodium?
thankyou in advance. =)

Hi- you cannot use the Remedy Finder for chronic ailments.

It is good for a sudden acute problem of cold, flu etc .

You either need to see a good local homeopath in person-
one who has 5 years experience at least.

Or you can do online with a homeopath_ where are you btw?
You should not be self prescribing on chronic things bc
you want to get what fits the totality if you can and to
do that you need to know how to weight and evaluate
symptoms and then you need supervision on - remedy,
potency of remedy, how many times to take remedy, how
long to take remedy- what if remedy aggravates- what if
remedy gives you new things you never had and on and on.
You will get stuck. Homeopaths have other homeopaths
prescribe for them also bc they are not neutral enough
to evaluate their own condition.

You can also ask someone on here to take your case. But you
should do some reading on how homeopathy works. There is
a free pdf on drdooley.net and you can also read site of
judyth reichenberg ullman and see conditions on bottom
page and read cases of many conditions to get a feel
for how this works.

Thanks for the advice, I will try to find a local, I turned to the internet because the only one I could find said she specialised only in women and childrens issues, I'm in Australia in Tasmania btw, but thankyou for cautioning me that I shouldnt self prescribe.
when you said
'you can do online with a homeopath'
how would I go about doing that?

-thanks again, any and all advice appreciated as I am new to exploring this form of medicine. =)

Hi-
There used to be a homeopath on here for a long time, from
Brisbane. He gave these homeopaths as options to another
patient on here. They are all homeopaths he knows and trusts after
20 years of his own practice.
All of them are in Sydney, but you should look
them up and see if any of them do cases online or skype or
email or phone.Meantime order the general Patients
Guide to Homeopathy from the Judyth Reichenberg Ullman
site ( all of these people have probably taken seminars from her)

Deborah Raye, Linda Coffee, David Levy, Peter Tuminello, Ken D'aran,
and Alistair Gray. These are his picks and I don't think you can
go wrong here.

Best,
