pain relief for son's epididmytis?

My son, age 20 has been recently diagnosed with epid. He's taking antibiotics (for 2 weeks now) and ibuprophen for pain. However, my son still is in severe pain at times. Any suggestions?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Epididymitis is a rare ailment especially in the case of a 20 year old and I would suggest that you use Arnica 30c as follows:

Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from your nearest supermarket.
Pour out 100ml
Drop in 3 pellets or 1 drop of liquid Arnica 30c into the 400ml water
Cap the bottle tightly and succuss it 4-6 times by banging on your palm and look out for the air bubbles to fizzle up from the bottom.
Pour out 1 teaspoonful of the potentized remedy and sip it 3 times daily with the last dose taken just before sleep. You will observe that he sleep very deeply after the Arnica.

I would like to mention here that I am suggesting Arnica only as an experiment which cannot do any harm to your son but can perhaps help to alleviate his condition in some way. It will increase the blood flow throughout the body especially to the area that is sensitive to pain. He will also sleep deeply and this too can help in his cure.

He should continue to take the Antibiotic which I hope is Ciprofloxacine (Cipro) 1 tablet twice daily and he can also massage the testicle/s gently to promote the flow of blood in the epidydimis which may or may not be infected. I would advise your son to stop the Ibuprophen as it will only provide temporary relief from the pain.

Do you know if he had any shock damage like when a cricket ball hits his genitals ?

Pulsatilla, Rhododendron and Spongia - pls read the descriptions of epididymitis in these remedies to choose the one most suitable for your son. If none fit other suggestions can be given.
It would be more helpful if you could give us some history of his condition prior to and during this current problem.

My son has not had any shock damage like you suggest. However, I am thinking it is a possbile result of an STD although this has not been definite. The doctor did prescribe vicodin to relieve the pain as his job requires much standing. I worry about this narcotic drug.
