Scratching on the back and shoulders

I write about my elderly father who is feeling very scratchy at times on his back on the shoulders. He is not that mobile. Before going to hospital for a week due to chest infection he felt same scratchiness and after hospital also.

I would be grateful for any help and also if you could say whether Nat Sulph 30c for long duration is suitable for increasing appetite, mood and mobility.
