loss of voice and asthma

I am a teacher and I suffer from chronic asthma. I have also been recently blessed with loss of voice & pharangitis along with the asthma - much to the delight of my students and the worry of the management.

I've tried various things, but am still seeking an effective remedy. Help will really be appreciated - I've exhausted all my leave and am still in a sad state.

Thanks
Harry

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I have had some success curing Asthma and shall note below the instructions that you must follow precisely to help your Asthma.

Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from your nearest supermarket.
Pour out 100ml
Drop in 3 pellets or 1 drop of liquid Nat Sulph 6c into the 400ml water
Cap the bottle tightly and succuss it 4-6 times by banging on your palm and look out for the air bubbles to fizzle up from the bottom.
Pour out 1 teaspoonful of the potentized remedy into half a cup of water from another bottle of the same water and stir it gently.
Sip 1 teaspoonful of the water from the cup just once daily. Do not use the water in the cup on the next day as it loses its potency.
Remember to succuss the remedy every day before you go through this routine.

You must stop all other medication when you start on this therapy and no Inhalers may be used at all. You will discover in a few days that they will be history.

This remedy should be taken daily for some time in the future and you may like to know that I have many instances of adults who were chronic sufferers from Asthma for many years who do not use the remedy any more after about 4 months on this therapy. Others who were not so chronic react favourably in a few days and only use the remedy if and when necessary.

A remedy that I have used when the patient is having an acute attack and is straining for breath is Ars Alb 200c. This remedy is taken dry and just 4 globules will suffice for a dose which may only be taken just once daily when the patient is gasping for breath. This usually clears the lungs and opens up the airways in under 20 minutes. It is far more effective that any inhaler or steroid.

In addition to the above treatment I would like you to open the lid in your electric kettle and let the water boil with clouds of steam. Inhale the steam deeply twice daily for about 5 minutes. The kettle can be placed on a low table safely out of danger of toppling over and you can inhale the steam which will in turn clear up the phlegm in your lungs.

Please post your response in a week after you start this therapy.

Dear Harry,

I suppose you lose your voice whenever you use it for some time i,e. due to strain exerted on the vocal chords. If that is the case you can try Argentum Met. 30 one dose daily for a week and see if it helps your voice.

Do you feel very weak in the chest area specially.Even otherwise do you feel very exhausted even after the least exertion?Do you lose breath while going down a flight of stairs? If your answer to these questions is yes, then there is one more remedy which can help you.

I would prefer that Harry does not use Arg Met as it may clash with the Nat Sulph 6c which I have noticed is very sensitive to other medication and may not help with his Asthma which I feel is the real cause of his voice and other ailments.

He has obviously been using Inhalers and drugs, all steroids and he can consider himself fortunate that he visited this forum for a remedy. Nat Sulph has never failed me even in chronic cases of Asthma who were dependent on all the drugs etc that modern medicine can give which only serve to supress the ailment temporarily and usually cause untold damage to the body especially in the case of young children whose lives are ruined by the specialist doctors with their steroids.

Dear Joe,

I agree with you Nat Sulph is a great remedy for asthma specially for people whose asthmatic attacks are worse in humid weather.I guess Colombo being a humid place this remedy helps you to cure most of the cases using Nat Sulph.I am one of those who really supports your experiments in homeopathy even though i myself am a classical homeopath. But i guess having a closed mind to experimentation is totally unscientific. The only caveat is that the experiments should not cause any harm.

In this case i thought that loss of voice was a later complaint while the asthma was an earlier one.I have seen the efficacy of Argentum Met in such cases a number of times.Perhaps Harry needs to tell if his loss of voice problem has emerged later or not.

With regards.

Dear Ravi,

I have no objection to Harry using Arg Met after his Asthma has stabilized. My advice to him right now is that he stays with just the Nat Sulph 6c split dose as there is a possibility that the Arg Met can interfere with the treatment for Asthma which is the more acute ailment which is possibly also the reason for his loss of voice due to straining.

I am gratified to note that although you are a classical homeopath you support my experiments as long as they do not cause any harm. You may like to read the latest success story of another of my 'discoveries' which was reported to me today on:

I do appreciate your interest in the manner I handle cases which may be unorthrodox but which usually deliver the desired result. I cannot remember any case where any remedy that I have prescribed has caused any aggravation of the ailment as in almost all cases barring a case such as the above, I have used the remedy that I prescribe on myself or have already used it before to help another case which has resulted in a cure.

I am practicing Homeopathy in my own way which I have proved works, sometimes better that the classical method. I have been targeted by many on this and another forum as being unclassical in my approach and some have even pretended to have had aggravation after one dose of Arnica of their heart problems. As long as they follow my prescriptions, I doubt very much that anyone can come to any harm.

You have not indicated your email address in your profile and I would appreciate if you can please send me an email so that I can have it with me for use to contact you in case of need.

Kind Regards
