Asthma after first child delivery

Dear Homeopaths,

We are living in Bangalore, India. My wife has caught asthma
after 2-3 months of delivery of first child. First we thought that its cough, and she took cough syrup. Then when it was not getting cured, we visited a doctor, she gave inhaler, first it was relieved. Then we visited a hill station, Then Asthma came back again. Next visit to doctor, doc confirmed that its asthma. She gave low potency inhaler for long use and septilin tablet to build immunity. My wife has been taking these medicines since 2 months, but no remedy.
She gets lot of cough, more in
night. Its very intense and she gets pain in chest after that. She also had similar attack in past 10 year but then taking inhaler has cured the problem. Now she think it has come back due to stress.
She is 26, active, irritable and short-tempered.

Please suggest some medicin.

Thanks.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I shall copy my default therapy for Asthma below which has helped many hundreds of patients:

Your remedy is a dose of Nat Sulph 6c in the Wet dose taken twice daily, First dose on an empty stomach and the second just before bed which you will take nightly for 2 weeks, When you find some relief you can reduce your dosage to just ONE dose nightly. If however you do not experience any relief which can happen if you are a chronic Asthmatic, you will please report your status to me for further advice.

You will report your response weekly or more often as may be necessary.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in the Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done at least 6 times before sipping a capful of the bottle as prescribed.

Steam is also important and it must be inhaled for about 5 minutes twice daily. You can get the steaming device used in beauty saloons for facial treatment. You will most likely cough up a lot of phlegm immediately after steaming.

Physiotherapy is also indicated after steaming to rid the lungs and airways of the phlegm which is also the cause of Asthma. You will lay flat across your bed with your chest slightly elevated above your head which is hanging down over the side. You will get someone to tap your chest on the back from the waist up to your neck and you should find that your phlegm will drool out in cupfuls.

Exercise is essential for you and you will drink at least 3 liters of water daily.

You can also blow into a baloon to help strengthen your lungs.

If you get an acute attack of Asthma which you would normally treat with a Nebulizer you will take Ars Alb 200c in the Wet dose and this will usually bring relief within about 15 minutes or less. In the event of the first dose not working you may take another about an hour later. Please note that the maximum dosage is not to exceed 3 doses 12 hours.

You will use ALL the remedy water in the dosage prescribed which is twice daily, and this should last you over 2 months.

It is best to keep the bottle refrigerated as the contents may tend to deteriorate after the first month.

Report your response in a week.

Please confirm that you are following ALL the therapy that I have spelt out in my prescription:

'Steam is also important and it must be inhaled for about 5 minutes twice daily. You can get the steaming device used in beauty saloons for facial treatment. You will most likely cough up a lot of phlegm immediately after steaming.

Physiotherapy is also indicated after steaming to rid the lungs and airways of the phlegm which is also the cause of Asthma. Exercise is essential for you and you will drink at least 3 liters of water daily.

You can also blow into a baloon to help strengthen your lungs. '

Has your patient caught a Cough caused by a virus infection?
If this is the case Ars Alb cannot help as it can only be used in place of an inhaler when the patient cannot breathe due to the Asthma.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for reply.

She has taken medicine and steam. She was not doing exercise and blowing into balloons. It started with dry prolonged cough which was diagnosed as asthma.
If you say, I can goto doctor again to confirm that this cough is not due to virus infection.
The cough is more in night and she is not able to sleep well due to this.

Please suggest what to do next ?
Thanks.

'She has taken medicine and steam.'

Is she thirsty? For how long has she had this cough?

As you are aware I cannot supervise how much steam she is using but it is essential that she stays in the steam for at least 10 minutes at a time and do the physiotherapy by tapping the back of the back as instructed if you wish to overcome your Asthma. The steam should be generated by the steaming device used in beauty salons.

It is difficult to treat a dry cough and if this cough is dry and has persisted she can use Spongia Tosta 6c in the Wet dose taken thrice daily.

Hi Joe,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Yes, she feels thirsty. The cough has been for 5 months.
She was taking steam for 5 minutes, we will increase it to 10 minutes with steaming device and physiotherapy.
Quick question: Spongia Tosta 6c is to be given along with Nat Sulph 6c ?

Thanks.

She cannot afford to STOP the Nat Sulph 6c for some time into the future.

It is best NOT to use the Ars Alb 200 unless she needs it on a SOS basis.
