Pins and needles pain in left leg

Hi All,

I have been fighting with this annoying problem from 3 months now. I am experiencing needle pain in my legs. This happens only when I am sitting & standing. The pain goes way immediately, if I sleep.

I have consulted an orthopedician. 8 months back, I had back pain and MRI shows a minor disc bulge at l5-s1. I used homeopathy medicine and that pain is gone now. Now I don't have back pain at all.

Earlier I thought, that my needle pain in legs is sciatica. But it doesn't seem so. The Orthopedician tested me from all angle. He asked me to bend forward also. But I din't get any back pain. So he rolled out possibility of disk compression on nerve.

He is saying, this can be result of contionuous sitting (I am a software engineer. And I have a desk job to do.) But none of his tablets could help me.

This pain is happening in only my left leg. If I take rest, I mean if I avoid sitting in a day, then I am feeling better. But I am not sure, for how many days, I have to avoid sitting.

Can someone help me to know, what is this problem ? And how serious is this ?

Thanks.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
no one can possibly confirm what it is but symptoms can be treated. Orthopedic has confirmed whatever it is so you need not to worry. If i were you i will change my bed and my sleep position. Usually these kinda sensations are due to disc compression. Little workout may also help you.
