Enlarged heart and asthma
Hi I have just been informed that I have an enlarged heart. I have been breathless with asthma for the past 5 weeks. Yesterday I started taking Crataegus Oxyacantha drops for my heart can anyone advise on a remedy for my asthma. I currently take Seretide and Salbutamol inhalers but would prefer to use homeopathy. any suggestions would be gratefully received. I am generally fit and well and on no other medication. Please take a single dose of Iodium 200 and see how that affects in 15 days. Only one dose, not daily. You may continue with Crataegus Q.
One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 2 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 2 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.
Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

am curious to know what caused your heart to enlarge? Do you have any valve issues or other?

Hi
My echo showed enlarged heart in size only muscle wall and all valves working within normal limits. No damage or anything untoward seen only that it was enlarged.

Hi Butchart,
'Usually', enlarged heart happens when the heart is unable to pump enough blood. This could be because of Heart muscle weakness (due to nutritional deficiency or a prior heart attack or heart injury of some kind), it could also be because of valve issues. This is what I know, there could be other reasons like arrhythmia also. Basically, heart enlarges when it is overcompensating for some insufficiency. Did your doctor do any other tests to find out why your heart is enlarged. It might be a good idea to find the underlying cause.

Hi the cardiologist has said the enlargement is due to exercise as I am a runner with a good heart rate of 50 -60. Sorry, perhaps should have mentioned thighs sooner

ok cool :) In that case, not sure why you would need Cretaegus though. Perhaps Dr. Kadwa will be able to help you with that.

Iodium is still indicated. If you don't get relief on Iodium 200, you should take three doses of Phosphorus 200 in the same way after 15 days.
