Cracker Finger-Tips

For the last 3 years or more I have suffered from cracked, peeling, bleeding finger tips, especially my thumbs and fore-fingers. I have been to 3 specialists and have tried steroids, protopic and every cream and ointment on the market. I wear white gloves most of the day and my fingers are so sore I am unable to zipper my pants. Any suggestions? The last doctor told me that I would probably have this the rest of my life.

Hi, I too have had cracked/bleeding fingers for at least a year, without a break. Everything you described is me. I was wondering if you have found anything to work yet. What is Silica?

dear,
in my experience,
"petrolium" is the best remedy
for the treatment of cracked, peeling, and bleeding finger tips,
take "petrolium 200" 3 doses
with an interval of 2 hour.

can Petroleum be useful as a prophylactic for cracked lips during winter days.

For cracked lips during winter or whenever the weather is dry, the cheapest and best is to apply a 50/50 glycerine/water mixture before going to bed. If you want fragrance, use rose water instead. In either case you may add a few drops of lemon juice. The secret is that glycerine has the property of absorbing moisture from the atmosphere.

You have used 1 part glycerine with 25 parts water. Please use 1 part glycerine wth 1 part water.

One tea spoon of Glycerene (10 drops)will approximately weigh about 5 gms and the dilution factor will not be more than five folds. I will however try using the way you wanted me to do. Please advise wheather I can also take Petroleum as a prophylactic to prevent and also as remedy to mitigate the suffering if i am unable to get the relief

I have given you the ratio volume wise. 1 tea spoon is 2 ml.(approx.). [Again,it is dependent upon the manufacturers.].

Take from me, you will not require Petroleum and is not to be taken as prophylactic either.

I went out of the way to explain how glycerine works. Your problem is cracking during dry weather and you have to provide moisture to the cracked lips, which ghee, oil etc. cannot do. They can only prevent further loss of moisture from a cracked lip.
