taking liquid dilutions

Hello,

A quick question. How are liquid remedies taken?

Some sources say as drops directly on the tongue.

Others say this will sting (because of the alcohol preservative) and they should be added to a glass of water which is then drank normally.

But surely this second method isn't absorbed as well - as it would pass directly to the gut without lingering under the tongue.

Cheers,
Rob

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
when added to a glass of water one sip= one dose, - this sip should be slowly swilled around the mouth or kept under the tongue for enough time to allow absorption.
Other drops are more easily absorbed if placed under the tongue.

What the classicals say? Please hurry up.

As per homeopathic law a medicine should never be taken in teh liquid form. I mean to say the dilutions of medicines like Nuxvomica, Arnica, Zincum, etc. They have to be taken only by impregnationg in tiny globules.

Therefore the question of how to take the liquid dilition is itself not correct (procedure). It can cause damage than so called releif (Of course cure will never be)

Thanks Erica

Hi Dr Suresh,

I read your other post, on this too.

What would you normaly give to a patient who is lactose / sucrose intolerant? Also, in your other post, you say taking liquid dilutions is perhaps dangerous, but mother tinctures are OK.

As I understand it, mother tinctures are not homeopathic, as they are not succused, and not very dilute at all. (i.e. obvious examples are Ricin, or Arsenic, which could be instantly fatal)
