C-section 6 weeks ago

Hi
I had a c-section 6 weeks ago. My doctor says the incision looks good and is healed well, but I have a burning /pricking sensation on the incision last 4-5 days. Does anyone know what could be causing it. I dont even know if it is internal or external. Can I apply the calendala cream on it now? Any other thing that could help. I was scared to apply the cream all these days for the fear of the effect it will have on the stiches.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
If you use the cream put it around the edge of the wound rather than on the stitches.
You can bathe it in diluted hyper-cal (hypericum and calendula) tincture.
For healing the incision wound and stopping pain in this area it may help to take staphisagria 30c, 3 times daily, for 3-4 days - stop taking sooner if the pain stops sooner than this.

Thanks ERICA. I did take staphisagria for about a week after delivery along with arnica. I will take it again for a week now. But It is not pain that I feel. It is buring and pricking. Will this help that too?. How many times can I use the calendula cream?

Recently there was a case in which one stitch was left un- removed,by mistake, and there was burning and pricking sensation. In this case the stitches were removed by an internee-doctor and not the main doctor. I hope the main doctor has seen it after your pain and given ok.

I still feel that you go back to your main doctor and let him know about this recent trouble otherwise he will blame you for the delay.

burning pricking pain is not usually an indication for staphisagria but it would make sure that the incision wound is healing well. It would however be good to check out there is no infection here - hepar sulph may be a better remedy to consider if this is the case.
do you have any fever? are any of the stitches particularly troublesome ro tight feeling?
when did the doctor last look at the stitches?

my first sentence is badly worded - I mean that staphisagria would make sure the incision wound heals well and that the burning pricking pain could indicate a slight infection

Erika,

Doctor just looked a couple of days ago for the 6 week check up. She said the incision looks healed from outside and there is no infection. Have no fever or no pain. But internally the stiches are yet to totally heal since there is slight pain when the doctor presses on tummy. This burning pain just started at 5 weeks . was not there before. I have a slight UTI. Dont know if it couple be because of that too. I cant figure if it is external or internal.

check out the uti symptoms with those in staphisagria - if the symptoms fit this remedy then try this remedy 3 times daily for 2 days and then report back for further advice.
If the symptoms do not fit then come back with more symptoms of the uti.
please make sure you are drinking a good amount of water daily. also cranberry juice or lemon barley water would be very helpful.
