help with breathing

I have been having difficulties breathing for about the past 6 months and about for months agao I went to see my doctor and had abreathing test done. I don't have asthma, but they are not sure what the problem is. I have to constantly take in deep breathes, like I am not getting in enough air, but they say I am. Does anyone know of something that might be able to help get my breathing back to normal?

Dear RoseK...

I have had breathing problems too. Tried inhalers, without success. I read somewhere that apricots are very good for strengthening the lining of the lungs. I have been eating dried organic apricots for some months now, as a regular snack, and this seems to have helped a lot. Also, I think most breathing problems are due to severe anxiety, so try to relax and not worry. I know that sounds difficult, but I keep practising and its working for me. My breathing is much better now.
Have you tried Yoga?

if you had emotional upsets at the time this breathing problem started. or a great upset or disappointment , then it would be worth considering the remedy ignatia.
if this is not the case then please explain more about your breathing difficulty and whether there are other symptoms which accompany this.

Well I have always had seasonal allergies (icthy eyes and runny nose) in the sprin time. Some people get asthma with it but I never have. Back in April my air passage way had tightened up and was blocked, I had to go to the emergancy room and have one of those breathing things with a steriod to open it up, but the weird thing was that my O2 level was normal. So this year when I started have trouble breathing the doctors have me inhallers, saying that it is associated with my allergies. But they never helped so I went in and ahad an asthma test done and that came out negative. I haven't had an emotional problems, but at the time I was studying to take the LSAT, but even after I had taken the test my breasthing difficulties didn't get better (thinking it was associated with stress).

Sophie...thanks, I will try the apricots. I actually haven't tried yoga, but I did sign up for it and am starting this week. I am hoping that if my problem is associated with anxiety that it wil help. But I have never done yoga, is there a certain one I should try?
