Asthma in a 7 year old

Hello,
My daughter is 7yrs old and she had her first asthma attack at 11 months old. She is severely allergic to Peanuts and Tree nuts and in infancy had eczema. Starting at 11 months she has had a number of wheezing episodes almost every month until she was 3.5 yrs old. Every attack ended with using oral steroids. She was on Pulmicort and Albuterol until she was 3.5yrs. At age 3.5 we saw a pulmonologist and she was put on Flovent 2 puffs a day. The frequency of wheezing has come down with Flovent but she starts wheezing at every onset of Cold or Cough. After 4 years now, she is still on Flovent. Again every attack only gets cured after taking oral steroids. We are very concerned about the long term usage of all the medicines we have been using and want to know if there is any Homeopathic remedy that will help her. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Looking at her history, her attacks always seem to be associated with catching a cold or a cough. She first develops a cold or a cough and after 2-3 days she starts slightly wheezing. Then onwards the wheezing gets worse until we end up with oral steroids.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I shall copy my default therapy for Asthma below:

Your remedy is a dose of Nat Sulph 6c in the Wet dose taken twice daily, First dose on an empty stomach and the second just before bed which you will take nightly for 2 weeks, When you find some relief you can reduce your dosage to just ONE dose nightly. If however you do not experience any relief which can happen if you are a chronic Asthmatic, you will please report your status to me for further advice.

You will report your response weekly or more often as may be necessary.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in the Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done at least 6 times before sipping a capful of the bottle as prescribed.

Steam is also important and it must be inhaled for about 5 minutes twice daily. You can get the steaming device used in beauty saloons for facial treatment. You will most likely cough up a lot of phlegm immediately after steaming.

Physiotherapy is also indicated after steaming to rid the lungs and airways of the phlegm which is also the cause of Asthma. You will lay flat across your bed with your chest slightly elevated above your head which is hanging down over the side. You will get someone to tap your chest on the back from the waist up to your neck and you should find that your phlegm will drool out in cupfuls.

Exercise is essential for you and you will drink at least 3 liters of water daily.

You can also blow into a baloon to help strengthen your lungs.

If you get an acute attack of Asthma which you would normally treat with a Nebulizer you will take Ars Alb 200c in the Wet dose and this will usually bring relief within about 15 minutes or less. In the event of the first dose not working you may take another about an hour later. Please note that the maximum dosage is not to exceed 3 doses 12 hours.

Dear Dr.Joe,
Thank you so much for your quick response. I read the case you have in the link and am absolutely amazed on how close the story is to my own. That sounds just like what my family is going through right now.

Like the other family, we also saw our first homeopath a few weeks ago who is mainly focusing on boosting her immunity. She has done a blood test on my daughter called Vegetarian food panel test and found that apart from nuts she is allergic to Dairy, wheat and citrus fruits. She wants to eliminate all those foods from her diet. Milk and wheat are our staple and cutting them back is literally starving her. Dr.Joe do you think eliminating these foods will make her asthma better? I have never noticed any triggers related to these foods, her attacks almost certainly are caused from cold and cough. Please let me know what you think about this food panel test. My daughter is certainly allergic to nuts and has had severe anaphylactic reactions in the past and we completely avoid nuts now. But she does not show any visual symptoms for Milk, wheat or citrus.

Our doctor has prescribed Pulsatilla 30c 3 pills under the tongue once a day. Should we discontinue this to start the Natrum Sulphuricum that you suggested?

Thanks so much for your reply - I have read some asthma cases on this board and I appreciate your service very much.

You will have to make up your mind after you have read and understood the therapy that I have prescribed both above and on my website, if you still wish to continue with the medication your daughter has been prescribed by your homeopath which I presume has not had any impact on her Asthma.

My therapy is based on my own research and has invariably worked as can be seen from the patient's own or the guardian's confirmation of the response.

You cannot obviously use medication prescribed by every homeopath and it is up to you to do what is best for your daughter.

Dr.Joe, I looked for the liquid dilution in my area and couldn't find it anywhere. It is only available in pellet form. Can this be used to prepare the wet dose? If so, how many pellets should be mixed in 500 ml water?

Also, after reading another case here which was replied by You and Sriram, I thought I should mention this to you. My daughter started having eczema at 2 months old and this continued until she was 1 year old. The pediatrician gave us steroid cream which we used as needed until she was 1 year old. At around 1year, she developed wheezing. Could this be a case of suppression? The eczema disappeared as soon as the doctor started her on Pulmicort (inhaler steroid?) and she never had eczema again as she has been on inhalers all along until now.

Thanks.

You MUST use the Liquid Dilution if you wish to use my therapy in the Wet dose. I have observed that the pellets are just a waste of time and do not help to treat the disease.

If you live in India you should have not difficulty in sourcing the Liquid Dilution.

Your observations about her presenting Asthma after her Eczema was cured is quite common and is reported by other patients but I cannot understand how these 2 diseases seem to be connected.

Hi. From your posts, I have a feeling that you are not from India.
You can order the liquid dilutions online from this site-Nat sulph, Ars Alb,from the
abc remedies shop if you are In usa, if you are elsewhere you can
order from Helios Homeopathic Pharmacy in the Uk or Remedia.au which
is in Austria, they ship everywhere except Croatia and a couple other places.
It takes around 5 to 7 days. They don't have ethanol packs just a vial
arrangement and you can make the wet doses out of these.

Btw, Joe is not a Dr. No one on this site is an MD. You can click on
any posters name and see their profile. Some are real homeopaths
with a practice, others have a lot of knowledge and interest in homeopathy.
In India/Pakistan it seems people start calling people Dr. as soon
as someone suggests a treatment and is a cultural difference from
Western countries.
