How to increase appetite
My 17 son is a competitive runner he runs approx 15 miles every day with a race once a week he is 5'9' tall and weighs 125 lbs he does not eat enough calories and says he is just not hungry his pediatrician prescribed vitamins . What remedy would help to increase his appetite . He is reserved lethargic other than when running spends most of his free time sleeping or surfing the web is very thin and has lost some muscle mass in the past 6 months he does not eat enough has toast for breakfast w fruit 2 almond butter w jam sandwiches for lunch w fruit and a protein bar and a small dinner which he almost never finishes will have a banana or a glass of chocolate milk as a snack otherwise refuses snacks . His temperament is surly and short tempered his skin color is sallow he just doesnt look healthy what would be a good remedy to try to use to increase his appetite he is just not consuming enough calories for all the running he doesFrances50 on 2013-04-08

Thank you i will order it is there any other information i should give you about him that might help . He grinds his teeth at night . He has distanced himself from his friends and i think he is very lonely although he does have a girlfriend she is the only friend he spends time with one day a week otherwise he stays in the house and mostly sleeps . He likes to run at night .

I should also add that he is not running well in his races and seems to have lost his stamina and is not as fast as he was last season . He has gotten complete blood work done and other than slightly low iodine levels he is ok although his doctor says he appears somewhat undernourished for the energy is he expelling and is not consuming enough calories he is always exhausted thank you
