6 mo. old female, chronic ear infections

I'm looking for help in treating a 6 mo. old female child with chronic ear infections. These have been constant since the child began attending daycare at 12 weeks old. She has had antibiotics each time; each infection clears, but then a new one sets in.

She also tends to sound congested in the nasopharanx with a tendency toward nasal mucus discharge (often yellow to green). Her lungs are clear, despite the congested sound, with no wheezing, crackles or rales.

She is a very happy baby, sits up well, is very strong and inquisitive. She does not like to be alone, and enjoys being held, but is not a pulsatilla type of baby. If you are in the room and she can see you, she'll happily play by herself.

She has a tendency to sweat on the top of her head when nursing and sometimes when taking a bottle, but very little. She will also sweat when she sleeps, especially her back and head. Her toes sometimes have a slightly sour smell.

Finally, when her ears are bothering her (and they have to be VERY infected for her to show any signs), she will sometimes tug on the ear. But, even with a middle ear 'as infected as it can possibly get' (per her pediatrician), she is happy, smiling and laughing. Though when it is this bad, she dislikes laying down.

I hope this give everyone enough to go on. Based on the Remedy Finder, Hepar Sulph., Chamomilla and Puls. are all options, but none of them seem to be exactly right. So, I'd like feedback on an acute remedy to clear the current infection and something consitutional so that she can not have these in the future.

All help is appreciated!

Best,

Brendan

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please give her Puls 6C as per the below method

Put 2 pellets or 1 drop in 3 teaspoons water, and let it dissolve, and give it to her in one go.

Pls do this twice a day for 3 days. If baby feels worse, discontinue.

Update me After 5 days

Pls don't worry about const her

Ok, just to confirm:

2 pellets Puls 6C dissolved in 1 teaspoon of water.

Administer this dosage BID for 3 days

Update after 5 days.

Is there any issue with me using a dosing syringe? Or must it be disposable?

Thank you for your help!

Hi

Yes.

Disp cups preferred as remedy leaves its imprint behind.

OK, well, she got all her doses and seemed fine. Went for a recheck this morning and her R ear is VERY infected, pus-filled and bulging ear drum. Despite this, she is TOTALLY happy. She acts as though nothing is wrong. However, her physician prescribed Cefdinir again.

So. Any other suggestions? :)
